We purchased this for my son as another slinky he had (also plastic) was just to short to do much of anything with it, including be useful on the stairs. This slinky is a fabulous length for that. It's bright and colorful. It has become tangled a few times, but I have been able to untangle it every time, no matter how big of a mess it is-- I've never been able to do that before with a metal slinky.

We threaded the horizontal wire that holds our bird feeder through the slinky. Squirrels USED TO shimmy across that wire to get to the bird feeder. The slinky confounds the squirrels. The first time we saw a squirrel touch th estretche slinky, the slinky does what slinkys do and freaked out the squirred. She must have returned to HQ and reported our feeder no longer an option. They don't even touch the slinky, but the birds just land on the wire between coils. So the fact that this slinky is light weight plastic is a plus. The colors glisten in the day and night lights and is cool to look at.

We purchased this as a gift for our 11yr old daughter. We were very pleased with the item! It arrived and appeared exactly as advertised- big, bright, sturdy and fun! We would recommend this for any child who loves playing with slinkies!

Tangles immediately. I don’t know if there’s a version of this toy that won’t tangle. I’ve seen giant ones that seem to stay intact.I bought it for my daughter’s 4th bday because she asked for it and it tangled during her party, I replaced it with a different brand and it did the same thing though it took a little while longer. It doesn’t do a good job of walking down stairs the way the old fashioned metal one doesSo maybe that one is a better option.

Not sturdy

As described, colorful and works well. Tangles somewhat easily but this is to be expected. To soon to comment on durability.

Ok, how many of us have needed that moment in the office or at the school desk where you just need a few minutes to unwind and break the monotony of the day? This little spring takes me back to my childhood days of sending that slinky down the steps. I enjoy the multi-colored action as I shift it back and forth from one hand to the other. I don't send it down the steps any more but I could! I also have another great little use for it as a pen & pencil holder. I think I'll keep it because it keeps me smiling!

It is a very engaging sensory toy. Fits over my five year olds legs and arms with ease which provided many giggles. It is nice durable too. Think it is marginally overpriced but I would hesitate in buying it again!
