Old tool with new life
I found these replacement batteries for my favorite Makita screw drill hoping they would do the trick and so far I'm quite pleased. These replacement batteries fit in the handle perfectly and my even be lighter in weight and seem at least for now to be holding good charge and they work and fit my old charger so I'm quite pleased with my purchase

They work
So far, not problems here.. I needed the 7000 battery myself.. It fit into my drill perfectly.. I was hesitant on throwing my drill out just because of a bad battery.. and when I checked for new batteries a while back, they did not sell aftermarket ones.. now they do.. so I got some.. I am just going to give the drill to a friend since I really do not need any more drills, but it is nice to be able to give it a second life.. So I am happy.. As for the charger, I put them in the charger, and they charged with no problem too..

The price point is great, I haven't had them long enough to speak to battery life. They are working better than the original ones, more power and run longer. I recommend them.

At last -Replace NiCd with NiMH!
Big difference; OEM NiCd batteries were 1600mah, these NiMH are 3500mah!Have only used briefly so far, but they seem to work well and should last a lot longer between charges. They also charge just fine on Makita battery charger, and NiMH don't develop "memory"!

Finally, a NiMh replacement for the old NiCads!
Liked having two batteries; one for my drill and one for my jig saw. The ampere hours of these Nickle Metal Hydride batteries far exceed the original NiCads of the same size.
