Great charger in a small, packable package
Works well with a USB supply. Shows battery charge level and current indicator (hi/low). A great item for travel or home.

this is an ideal charger that makes good use of the variable output from the panel
When paired with a small USB solar panel, this is an ideal charger that makes good use of the variable output from the panel. Unlike some li-ion chargers that demand a specific power minimum to initiate a fixed charge rate, this charger can in many cases run at anything from ~0.05A - 1.05A depending on the available input power and the state-of-charge on the cell.Weight of the charger + cord is <2oz. Perfect for portable applications.I'm using this charger with the Sunkingdom 5V 5W Portable USB solar panel, also available on Amazon. Aside from the losses to the basic linear regulation method employed for the charger, it does a good job making use of the available power.Like most Xtar chargers, this is a pretty safe design that charges via a CC/CV method and terminates to a infinitesimally low charge rate (couple micro amps) when the charge current reaches ~50mA in CV mode. My sample finishes cells at ~4.24V; a bit high but within tolerances. Not ideal for long term cell life but the higher termination voltage and very low termination current will result in cells with very high charge saturation, maximizing available runtime. Fine by me.-Eric

Nice and compact!
You will need to source your own AC adaptor for this if you want to plug it into a wall outlet as opposed to a USB port. An iPhone plug adaptor would work perfectly here. If you found this review or my pics helpful please give it a thumbs up. Thank you!

Simple and Effective
About as bare bones as you can get for a charger. That's not necessarily bad. I was looking for something cheap and effective. Works well with my Panasonic NCR18650PF 3.6v 2900mAh batteries.

A great small portable charger and great price.
Charges great. Not great at holding the 18650 batteries I charge. I bought it because it looked like a quality unit and it looked very portable. If you lay this on a flat surface it and don't disturb it, you have a good charger. If you move it too much or it moves while your driving the battery can easily come loose. Out of a bit of desperation I solved that in my truck one night with something out of my first aid kit that looks similar to an elastic hair tie. I double this band in two and wrapped it around the battery while it in the charger it held perfectly. Truthfully I don't know the original purpose of this eleastic nylon band but it's purpose now is to hold my battery in place. Great charger though, the seller shipped it fast and it was all at a great prices I'm just warning you of its small limitation.

Works perfect
This has been the most reliable 18650 charger that I have owned. I held off writing a review until I had owned it for a while. Very nice. If I needed another one, I would buy this again.

Too small for some 21700 batteries
Edit: picture added of user manual showing battery compatibility.Ordered this after reading several reviews and answered questions regarding the chargers ability to accommodate 21700 size batteries. I am very disappointed to say that this charger will not accept either of my 21700 batteries. 18650's are fine but if you have a battery that is over 70mm long, it will not fit in this charger.

Good charger
The media could not be loaded. I will give it 5 stars, really good : ), it shows the battery charge status which is divided in 25% 50% 75% and 100%. Also it can charge the battery with 0.5 A or 1.0 A, depends on how the battery was discharged and other stuffs.
