Great product, the colors are vibrant, and the bulb works great. Make sure the coil is centered on the bottom or it won't heat up correctly.

If I could give this no stars, I would.
We got this for my daughters birthday. She was so excited. I unboxed it. Put it together and plugged it in. Instantly there was a flash from the light bulb and it no longer worked. It wasn't the lightbulb. The hole lamp blew. Disappointed. This thing wasn't cheap. I don't have confidence in the product and will not be asking for replacement.

So my room is a little too cold for the first light bulb to work so I bought one I was hoping would work to heat it up to get it to work and now I have my lamp back! Works perfectly with a 40 watt bulb!!

Not Exactly
This product didn’t come in the exact colors that I selected but it wasn’t so bad that I needed to return it. Works great just like any normal lava lamp.

This lamp is great, just follow the directions.
I'm convinced the bad reviews are from people who are not following the included directions. Yes, it might sound stupid to have to read a manual for a lava lamp, but for it to work properly it's pretty important, and they are not hard steps to follow. It's a great lamp in both looks and usability.

Arrived broken... twice!
We initially ordered our lamp, and the base was broken. It did not heat up at all. We ordered a replacement and the glass on the lava holder was cracked and missing about 1/4 of the water. We combined the new working base with the original glass container to creat a functional lamp and returned the 2 broken sections. The lamp isn’t packaged to hold up in shipping, so I wasn’t too surprised. Unfortunately you can no longer buy these lamps in a store, so I had no choice.
