How do I sterilize the bottles? Can they be put in the oven or boiling water?

Glass itself is quite a sturdy material UNLESS it has been rolled out very thin for fancy decorative purposes such as flowers, animals, etc. IMO, they are UNSUITABLE FOR FOOD USE! Thicker varieties as here, are usually quite strong unless they have an integral weakness such as bubbles within the glass itself, which can act like perforations in a stamp! Previous damage or droppage can also do this. But the real weakness here is the lids. I purchased 2x 500ml amber glass with plasic lids, which were sturdy, but their waxed-card lid-linings started to disintegrate FIRST TIME OUT! As mine are for FOOD use (alkaline mineral-water drink) I take NO chances so threw them out after first use! Throwing money down the drain! IMO, UNSUITABLE FOR FOOD USE!

Are these bottles good quality? If I heat to sterilise them will they crack?

One or two bottles came with air bubbles, so I have not used hot water for cleaning.

If using these bottles for storage how long will my oils stay fresh??

I use mine for herbal tea concoction and keep in the fridge as per my instructions so I am sorry I can't really answer your question about oils
