Nice quality product
I am so impressed with this gadget. I was not expecting it to be worth much or even much help with my jewelry designing. I was definitely wrong on all accounts This is definitely the best tool for bending and shaping soft metal strips and wire. It comes with four pegs that are interchangeable. You place the pegs where you want them and it is like magic. So easy to make super designer jewelry. The amount of different designs you can do is amazing. The location you place the pegs are endless and produce a variety of shapes, including curves and angles. Half round shape at one end bends wire into large curves. Triangular shape at the other end bends wire up to a 90 degree angle. Aluminum body measures 4-3/8” x 1”. Includes two wood screws for permanently mounting on your workbench. It makes every day a lot easier to have this mounted on my work table is a life saver. I would recommend this to any jewelry designer whether you are a beginner or expert it is a must have. I purchased this to make my days easier and it is doing just that. It is made of a fine quality plastic that is heavy duty. The pegs are steel and will take all sizes of wires. Great for earings, bracelets, necklaces or key chains. You can buy this product with confidence.

Simple wire bender
There's a million like this wire bender, and this is a good example of the genre. This type of bender can be used to make zillions of projects. Plan on spending time practicing to learn how to use it, and to make good-looking projects. I use mostly galvanized steel wire up to 12 gauge to make various projects for the home and garden. Works well to help mend fences too.

This is a great little item
This is a great little item. I also bought a clamp-on vise to hold it. It worked great for my project. I'm using a coat hanger. The only thing about it that is a little hard to use is you have no torque in bending the wire other than your hands. I've seen other products that have an arm to bend the wire with.

Working on a Bender
For use with flexible soft wire this tool is good. The beauty of this tool is in the ability to duplicate the same hook or bend over and over inconsistently. The bender itself is strong and holdes it's corners to retain consistent quality bends. The tool is metal and easiest to use if mounted on a secured peace of wood.

Powder coating causes problems
Way back when, my original version of this very handy tool was UN-coated and worked just fine. Someone got the idea to powder coat this which caused two problems. First, the center hole was too large for the pin due to the added thickness of the coating. No big deal. I reamed it out with a 1/4" drill bit and the pin fit snugly. Problem two is that the powder coating is slippery. When you use the tool, the wire has a tendency to pop out of the slots. I think I am going to have to sand off the slots to remove the powder coating which will be a chore. This was a very functional tool before the powder coating was added. A case of making things worse by trying to improve on it.

Great little gadget.
I bought this to make wireform ball guides that are used in pinball machines. Got some stainless steel wire from another Amazon seller and with this form it is pretty easy to make the wireforms. The price was right. All kinds of places and sellers have this identical item and this seller had the best price.

Bending jig for metal
Bending jig for metal... To get 5 stars, this jig would need to have a small handle, as a bend helper. This is a nice piece of equipment. Solid aluminum base, that can be mounted on a piece of wood, then to a table or vice, for good holding power. For smaller wire, jig can be held in hand.- The pin holes have a good bore, so the pins are easily placed in hole and easily extracted. Very versatile for small wire bending, and compact enough to take in your toolbox.- Great for making small springs; and for bending thin strips, like copper or brass. If bigger than 1/16 inch, it would be easier on a larger jig; although larger size copper wire can be easily formed.- With the many adjustments of the pin positions, this jig can be very universal; also can be quite accurate.Try it,Nailbreak

Great once you get the hang of it
I have to say I bought this based on reviews from others without any prior knowledge of how to use it.I wanted to make bends for soldering miniature copper furnitures like chairs etc.My husband of course just looked at it and start bending like a pro ( are they born with knowledge or what?!) so he basically should me how to use it.I'm still not as good as he is at using it but it's definitely a lot better than when I was doing it by hand.It makes great sharp bends and curves.
