but it wasn't his favorite a few years ago when he was younger and ...
This noseclip is not for everyone, but works perfectly for me and my wife. My son does kayaking and this is one of his preferred nose clips, but it wasn't his favorite a few years ago when he was younger and smaller. There are some factors that people should keep in mind before buying this (or any) noseclip.1. Size--this product is best for older kids and adults. It is not adjustable so it will be too big for small kids. If you have a large, broad nose, it might be uncomfortable after a long swim session.2. Padding/materials--the nosepads on this are comfortable and durable. They won't crack but can peel off. If you put sunscreen on your nose, the pads will get too slippery. My daughter applies the sunscreen after the noseclip. The plastic frame won't warp or get hot in the sun like metal frames, but if you need to adjust it, you won't be able to.3. Color--the clear is the cheapest (at the time I purchased these) but if it drops in the deep end of the pool, it'll be almost impossible to find. All other times we use the colored ones (and some stores have a cheaper price so look around). It's nice to have a few colors because her teammates borrow her noseclips and she can identify them easily. When I purchase these I bought about a dozen of them thinking I would probably loose some of them. I haven't lost one yet. I have given several pair away to friends and family and they all love them.

Makes backstroke easy.
Tight but not too tight. Makes backstroke easier for my swimmer. Functions exactly as expected.

Expected this to be a decent nose clip because it's Tyr, however I was exceedingly disappointed. Out of water (which is where I first tried it), this works great; it holds really strong and works well. As soon as you get wet, however, this will not stay on your nose at all; I would put it on, and when I smiled it would instantly slip off. The rubber on the inside of the nose clip, while it works great dry, does not work at all when it gets wet. Additionally, while I was messing around with trying to get it to fit, it snapped in half across the nose bridge. Again, very disappointed; will not recommend this product to others.

Decent noseclip with good quality but know what you need from a noseclip before you buy
This noseclip is not for everyone. My daughter does synchronized swimming and this is one of her preferred nose clips, but it wasn't her favorite a few years ago when she was younger (and smaller). There are some factors that people should keep in mind before buying this (or any) noseclip.1. Size--this product is best for older kids and adults. It is not adjustable so it will be too big for small kids. Color--the clear is the cheapest (at the time I purchased these) but if it drops in the deep end of the pool, it'll be almost impossible to find. It's great for my daughter's syncho so she doesn't look like Rudolph the reindeer but she only wears the clear ones for the show. All other times she uses the colored ones (and some stores have a cheaper price so look around). It's nice to have a few colors because her teammates borrow her noseclips and she can identify them easily.

good value and they work
Very comfortable, they stay put and prevent nasal water from entering. I have a deviated septum and water entrance in my nasal passage can be a problem during lap swimming. The tyr ergo nose clip works great and they are so comfortable you forget you are wearing them. A short break-in is require to get them perfect. About two or 3 trips to the pool but after that they are great.

Slips
They tend to slip off nose

Works for me
I use o frontline snorkel during laps. The clips allow me to not have to be concerned with taking a rush of water up the nose on accident while breathing.

They don't last long. Not too comfortable either
I have gone through several pairs. They snap in half after a handful or two of uses. Maybe a little longer if you get lucky. All the other major brands are designed exactly the same. Also the little "pads" are hard plastic and scrape coming on and off. My nose is fairly wide and all of these plastic clips will snap after a while. So plan to spend money on 5 or 6 of these a year at least. I think it's probably far more profitable for all the companies to make a cheat clip for cents on the dollar and have customers buy a half dozen each a year than engage in efficient intelligent design. Anyone paying attention at TYR?
