🎶 Stand Out, Stay Pristine!
The Taylor Sapele/Mahogany Stand is a beautifully crafted guitar stand made from solid sapele mahogany, featuring a rich satin finish and rubber pads to protect your instrument's finish. Originally designed for a trade show, its popularity has soared due to its elegant design and functionality.

Very Classy
Got to admit, this item is expensive for what it is. You pay for the quality and brand name. But it classes up my living room and is functional for any of my guitars. A few tips: When assembling it, be sure you have the correct size screw driver with a very good tip. The screws are brass for decorative purposes and you don't want to mangle the heads. Be sure to rub some wax on the threads and they'll go in easier. If you goof up, they have included 2 extra screws. The last couple of twists are pretty tight. Second; I would suggest turning the center brace around so the brass "Taylor" logo is facing outward. Much nicer than the branded logo the instructions show. Third; The first hardware store I went to had small, round, dark green self adhesive felt pieces that fit perfectly on the round "bumpers" that rest against the guitar. The felt things are made for nick nacks and chair legs to protect the surface they sit on. If you store your instrument on the stand, the rubber could stain the finish. (But be nice to your guitar and store it in a hard shell case with a humidification system and humidity gauge and save a lot of headaches in the future). I really like the D'Addario system available reasonably at Amazon.com. And, I think, as one reviewer suggested, putting rounded wood covers over the nice brass screw heads would look awful.

Expensive stand that wobbles
Stand did not sit flat on the ground (it wobbled), also the pads don't cover all the spots where the guitar could make contact when setting it down, you'll make wood on wood contact regularly. The wood was nice, the stand was just not made well, had to return it.

Hit or miss on this stand
I bought two of these. 4 stars for the first one. Very nice but the screw holes are not drilled deep enough. Even with power drill could not get screws in. Had to use 1/8 inch drill bit and make the holes a little deeper. A couple month later I bought the second stand. Only 2 or maybe even 1 star for the new one. Same problem with the screws but the real issue was with the rubber stoppers that the guitar sits on. Instead of being soft and rubbery feeling, they were more like hard smooth plastic and the guitar would slide around easily in the stand. Took it apart and sent back. Quality control doesn't seem to be up to Taylor standards in my opinion.

Probably the best wooden guitar stand.
I bought this for my dad who has a 12-string Taylor. The architecture of the stand is top notch, as is the wood quality. I have seriously never seen a better looking and built guitar stand, and I've bought quite a few for his collection of guitars. It's pricey, but well worth it.

Solid Wood Acoustic Guitar Stand
This Taylor Guitar Stand is gorgeous. The stand is solid wood, and arrives in three pieces. You receive two side pieces, one center piece, and six screws. There is a full-color instruction sheet that shows you were to screw the pieces together.I purchased the Taylor stand for my Taylor guitar because I had concerns about the plastics and metals used in other (less expensive) guitar stands. I wanted a stand I could be sure would not damage the finish on my Taylor. The unit is manufactured in Mexico.

Nice stand but could be even better with a few changes
I purchased this stand a while back to show off my Taylor guitar. I hate to see when people spend thousands of dollars on a Taylor guitar and use a $15 tubular stand. It just looks bad and it is dangerous for your guitar. I have seen many guitars tip over on cheap stands.I read that Taylor did not originally plan to sell this stand. They made it for internal use at the NAMM shows. Due to high customer demand, they decided to sell it to the public. I am glad they did.The Taylor stand is really nice and it holds the guitar very securely. I had used the cheap stands in the past and now that I have nicer guitars such as Taylors, I look for function first and then price. This Taylor stand does its job very well. There are some items that I would change on it however. The stand has rubber bumpers where the guitar rests. This is nice but the guitar still can come in direct contact with the wood of the stand in 4 places. On the front where the stand rises and on the back where the stand rises. Your guitar can come into direct contact with the wood of the stand, which if you are not very careful you can get a ding or scratch in the guitar's finish. I worked around this issue by adding strips of felt. The stand also has 4 screw holes where you put it together. It would be nice if there were wood plugs so you do not see the screw heads. It just looks unfinished. I would expect an expensive stand to look like a piece of furniture.I wish they offered the stand in different woods. Currently it is only offered in the Sapele which is similar to mahogany. It is very nice but a maple, rosewood, or koa version would be nice to match some of Taylor's guitars. I am sure the Sapele was chosen to make the price point. I would assume maple, rosewood, or koa would be more expensive. I can't imagine how much the markup must be on this stand. Given all the laser wood cutters Taylor uses to cut guitar parts, the cost to produce this stand can't exceed $10-15 including materials. I wish I came up with this design! The stand is pricey but it is totally worth it to show off your Taylor guitar. You can just incorporate the stand cost into the guitar cost so it will be easier to justify spending $60+ on a stand.

Nice looking stand and stable for holding the guitar but ...
Nice looking stand and stable for holding the guitar but I find it is almost impossible not hit the frond edge of the stand with the guitar when putting it down/picking it up. There are four little bumpers, but there is no padding on the rest of the stand where the guitar sits so am getting some dings/wear on the guitar finish from use. I will add felt to the stand to protect the guitar, but for the price and from Taylor would I would expect better protective covering on the stand
