Bajri Flour 2lb

I bake sourdough bread for friends and family who have wheat allergies, and am always looking for new flours to try that are nutritious, interesting, and tasty. I tried this millet flour first, and was very surprised when I tried the 23oz packages of Bob's Red Mill millet flour and found the taste and texture to be very different. I must say that I love the flavor of this black/green/Pearl millet much better. While it's too expensive to make 100% millet bread, this is incredible when mixed with other flours, giving a finer crumb and divine flavor. I HIGHLY recommend this brand of millet (Deep from India, bajri or black millet) flour for anyone looking to add taste + health in their home baking. This is going in every loaf. We need bigger bags of this stuff to make it more affordable!

I experiment with lots of different flours & generally use this in place of 1/2 cup of all purpose flour for breads or muffins. It gives it a kind of sweet nutty type taste. When I make muffins, my husband can't stay away from them. He'll eat 5 or 6 in a day with nothing on them....just dry, so I had to come up with ways to make muffins more nutritious and this works.

Why not? it is millet flour and the results are just as good = light beautiful flour

After I got some insight from my Indian colleagues I was able to make Bajra roti. Indian food without the bread is a crime against humanity. With this you can have you bread and Indian food too.

Took me right back home. Great product.
