Very good buy
The cost of this item is very competitive. I never purchase the least expensive and I try not to purchase the most expensive. Which this product falls right in the sweet spot. Best of all I have not had any issues and I have driven the car approximatly 2500 miles since the install.

Absolutely horrible, brought in January, gave out already and it’s only MAY!!! which also cost me a brand new led bulb that ran me another $100 plus the super labor to install. To get to this mk5 Vw ballast is not easy at all. Wiring and headlamp is completely stock OEM so nothing could have caused this to burn out. A refund or replacement immediately would be the only satisfaction and would have me delete this review not posting another straight up. I buy a lot from Amazon and I’d have to say this was worst then Temu or Ali Express.

Died after 1 month but good customer service
Update:Seller was responsive and provided a refund despite the item being past the return date. Much appreciated!Original post:Had previously ordered one of these for my drivers side and it worked fine. When the passenger side went out I ordered another one. Unfortunately the passenger side ballast required complete removal of the headlight so this was a more difficult job. Headlight started going out intermittently a few days ago and then just finally died. I swapped the ballast from the drivers and it worked fine so its definitely this new ballast. Unfortunately the return window is closed so I'm stuck. My advice is to invest in a higher quality, OEM ballast for passenger side light if you want to avoid doing the job twice.
