Awesome sound and great bass
I have this setup with a avr2600h and it sounds amazing, the bass is powerful especially considering the compact size of the sub, and the addition of an adjustable lpf is really nice if you are like me and hate the muddied bass of those big box store setups.. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants great clear sound and is limited on space

ProCinema 6D is a nice speaker set, but I have one alternative suggestion
First off, this is a nice set of speakers (and it just a set of speakers that require a receiver to power them). They sound good, they look great, they're very well made, and they aren't badly priced at (as I write this) $800 for five speakers and a sub. This is a nice set for someone who already has a receiver that they like and wants pretty small speakers. One key to that is - wanting small speakers. These are pretty darn small, so you do give up some audio capability with that. If you're moving up from TV speakers, though, have no doubt that these should blow you away. Even compared to my 11.2 system comprised of NHT speakers and SVS subwoofers, this set sounds good. No, it's not as good as my regular system, but it also doesn't cost anywhere near as much, and it's a lot more compact. If I were still in an apartment, I would love to have a system like this...but my neighbors wouldn't appreciate it. :D It can get pretty loud.I'm giving them four stars because I really like how they sound, with a slight caveat that my impression is in part due to their size, meaning that I'm giving them extra points for sounding this good at this small size. It's not a huge caveat, though. Size aside, they still sound good.Going into this, I expected to be telling you that you could do better by putting together your own set. For example, getting four NHT SuperZero 2.1 speakers (<$70/each as I write this) or SuperOne 2.1 speakers (~$100/each), an NHT center channel (~$200), and a sub (~$200 for one like the one in this set). Now, I'm not sure. The SuperZero 2.1s are good speakers, but they are twice the size of these, and I can't say that I think they sound any better. The SuperOne 2.1s are a step up, but while actually not large speakers, they are huge compared to these. If you're willing to go larger, that's an option, but it won't save you any money in the end. Long story short, I'm coming around to the idea that this is good value for a 5.1 speaker set given how good it sounds.Alternative:As an alternative, though, the Sony Z9F powered soundbar with wireless sub and two wireless rear speakers (currently $1000 if you get those rear speakers) is an amazing sound bar that easily goes toe-to-toe with this set and it requires no external receiver. The Z9F is an all-in-one package that decodes Dolby Atmos and all of the other popular audio formats, and it's fully powered...and it gets pretty darn loud, too. I was simply amazed (no exaggeration) at how great that system sounds, and that was in comparison to my full up system. So, for $1000, you don't need to buy a receiver, you don't need to buy speaker wire, and you don't need to run speaker wire to the back of your room. You would need a power outlet for the rear speakers, though.Bottom Line:For a 5.1 set of speakers that require a separate receiver, especially if you're looking for small speakers, this is a very nice set. If you're looking around for something compact that will greatly improve the sound of your TV speakers, I would encourage you to also check out the Sony Z9F soundbar with wireless rear speakers because it sounds spectacular and requires no external receiver or amplifier.
