Love these aging sticks. Easy to use, fit most bottle necks and provide great flavor.

Great for bottle aging any spirit!
These are great for bottle aging your bourbon or making a home finished version. I also buy the 4 pack as I use these quite often. Great price and quality!

Easy aged rum
Works like it sais. I dropped it in a decent bottle of light rum and now three months later it tastes aged and relatively smooth. Im going to let it sit a bit linger before straining it but generally im very happy with the outcome.

I'm a few days away from the 2 week point when I'm going to open it up to drink but so far I've been happy with this purchase
I used this to age a 1.5L batch of bourbon Old Fashioneds. Within a day the color of drink had darkened considerably and a week later the taste had changed quite a bit. I'm a few days away from the 2 week point when I'm going to open it up to drink but so far I've been happy with this purchase.

The stave is smaller than most and is over priced ...
The stave is smaller than most and is over priced for its size.. It does work for whiskey making to a point so there's the star rating for that.

I inserted this into the fine Grenada Rivers 69% 138 Proof clear Rum
Wow !!! and wow !!! Again. I inserted this into the fine Grenada Rivers 69% 138 Proof clear Rum. Yes the airlines checked it as I boarded and approved since it was below the other Rivers which is much higher. Anyway... what come out after 10 days is to die for. Wish I had gotten more rum. Silky smooth unlike the original which really is to get drunk on. Now it is sippin quality. Really. Trust me. Yes I had a 500cc Bottle. Not the 750, Regardless it would work just keep it till the color is golden.

Time in the bottle doesn't really matter
I tried it in a bottle of 1800 silver tequila. The tequila still had a bite to it after two weeks. It was slightly darker than a reposado. I did comparisons with 3 other reposados I had. It needs more time in the bottle. I may cross cut a few pieces of oak for shorter capillaries and drop a few pieces in. It may take care of the bite.4 week up date. No change in color or taste in the past two weeks. It still has the bite of 1800 Silver. It is no where near as smooth as 1800 Reposado. This is not something I would buy again. I will let it sit and check again in early January.Last week of April, 6 months in the bottle and it looks great. Still no difference in taste or bite. The 1800 Reposado or 1800 Anejo for a few dollars more is a better buy than using an Oak infuser.Nine months and still no difference. I'm going to filter out the charcoal and rinse the bottle out. The 1800 Silver tequila is still good to mix with. I just wouldn't pore it on ice and sip it like Partron.

Quick whisky taste and color change t
I placed two of those spirals into a bottle of EarlyTimes whiskey. I was well shaking it several times. In 3 days the color of the whiskey in the bottle became much darker, the taste milder. For my tasteit improved considerably. But from economical point of view it didn't reach the taste of over $50 per bottle it grouw for ~ +12 $ i.e. as $30+per bottle.May be in several month the taste will reach much better point. Still it was an interesting experiment.
