Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Michelangelo

Leo is the "standard" turtle, Raph is the "super muscular aka widest" turtle, Donnie is the "tall and lean" turtle, and Mikey - you're the shortest and cutest of the new Playmates TMNT line! That said, Mikey really is the shortest - at least a head shorter than Donnie - but it's really nice to see a physical difference between each turtle. Asides from being the shortest, Mikey also has the least amount of "battle damage" on his sculpt. His coloring is clean (although I'm not sure if I like the neon green color of his skin), the articulation is smooth, and the weigh of the figure is well balanced - Mikey can stand on one foot without toppling over!His carapace is made of a soft bendy plastic - this can be seen as both a weakness and a strength, as this allows for more movement of the legs, however its so flexible that I can imagine it being accidentally ripped off by a kid. The belt material is also soft plastic. One thing parents should be aware of is that the heads of these turtles, while highly posable, can easily pop off. Thankfully, they pop back on just as easily. The one gripe I do have is with the nunchucks...the chain part of the chucks are plastic, and when they are put in his belt, the plastic actually turned a shade lighter (aka, it's getting weaker and can break). With enough bending and unbending, these will break over time.All in all, for a long time Turtle fan, I'm pretty happy with this design of Mikey. It's a better sculp than the 2003 blocky version of the Turtles, it gives each turtle their on unique physical attributes, and hey - everybody love the party dude! Highly recommended!

I’ve been looking for a small figurine everywhere. He was my boyfriends favorite turtle. He was so happy to get this as a gift!

I bought this as a gag gift for my husband, but my daughter (2 years old at the time) fell in love with it and wanted to play with it everyday until I discovered that they head popped off and would find it in her mouth! Thankfully, she never swallowed it, but and I had to take the toy away from her which she was unhappy about. However, she learned that some toys heads pop off and started to do that with all her figurines, all which did not have removable heads! So now we find these cute little Mickey Mouse characters with decapitated heads left only with their bodies. At first we thought this was something morbid and disturbing until we tied it back to the Michelango character.It's a good representation of the real character for perhaps adolescent age kids, but not tots! There are also little weapons that come with each character which are small too and not good for young kids. Otherwise, it's a good display figurine/collection to have.

In lieu of an office Christmas exchange where you buy a $20 gift that people hope they can re-gift next year, we drew names of co-workers and then purchased a gift we think that person would like to play with when they were 8 years old. It was a hit, and Michelangeo was perfect - all toys were then donated to the Salvation Army Christmas Angel tree.The shipping was great and arrived with perfect timing even at standard rates.

The product is correct and legit, but the Playmates packaging for NA is shown when the Italian distributed one was delivered. 4 stars for legit product, -1 for wrong, and sort of beaten packaging.

with the way toys are made these days I was afraid these wouldn't last but my son loves playing with them and they are well made and easy for him. I remember playing with these as a kid myself and am glad that I didn't have to be dissapointed with quality lower than what I remembered. Good detail and sturdy, A great buy. that being said, you may be able to buy them much cheaper locally so check first
