Le Creuset Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 4-Quart Covered Saucepan

I bought a set of the red enamel Le Creuset pots and pans when I lived in England nearly 25 years ago. They were very reasonably priced at that time. They have worn very, very well, but I find them a bit too heavy now that I have some arthritis in my hands and wrists. Then our old stove gave out, and I decided to get a ceramic smooth-top; cast-iron bottoms were not recommended, since they tend to scratch the ceramic. After much reading and searching I settled on a set of these stainless steel pots from Le Creuset, and I have not been disappointed. I particularly like the small handle opposite the long handle, plus the lighter weight, which makes them so much easier to handle, even when full. Plus they're pretty! Perfect for me!

Of the saucepans I recently purchased for a new induction stove, this one seems to give consistently the best performance. It also does not gradually form a white film on the inside surface of the pan, like much of the other new stainless cookware I have tried.I believe this pan is an excellent saucepan in all respects, except for the high price.

Great cookware. Even heating on ceramic stove top. Fine craftsmanship. Only drawback is some discoloration over time. Can't stay pristine forever, I guess.
