Heavy but worth it
This stuff is super cool. It’s definitely heavy but it makes it feel more authentic. It’s very high quality stuff. It’s slimy and stinks but it needs to have oil on it for rust reason, but once it wears off a bit I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Seems good, very oily
For cosplay or whatever, this will be fine. It is butted and not riveted, so it will be a bit less sturdy if you plan to use this for actual simulated combat. One ring did fall off on me just when I was unwrapping it.It fit me fairly well. I am on the taller side (6'6), so it didn't come down to the mid thigh like you might expect, even with the XL, but other than that fit is okay. It is quite heavy though!Mine came coated in a thick layer of very smelly machine oil or something. Some people evidently just throw this right on with that oil. Personally, I wouldn't want to smell like that. I had good luck degreasing it then drying it thoroughly and applying some wd40. Hasn't rusted on me yet. It is mild steel though, so it may be prone to rust. Make sure you are up for the maintenance if you plan to have this long term! Otherwise, go for an aluminum or stainless steel set.

Exactly what was expected
I was a little uncertain given the price, but the product is fantastic. Covered in oil like all real (non-stainless) chainmail, but that kept the rust off and ended up being a positive when it came to making the rest of my outfit look 'aged'. 100% would by from again.

Nicely made and wonderful
This was a Christmas gift for a medieval enthusiast teen. He was thrilled. No links missing or damaged. The only trouble was that there seemed to be a shipping issue and only the tunic arrived, not the hood. I could not figure out an easy way to alert Amazon about the error (since Amazon fulfilled it) and so tried to alert Mythrogen. It seemed the only way Amazon would correct it would be if I sent the perfectly good tunic back to Amazon. Since this was a gift for my son that had survived shipping and was over 40 pounds to pick up, I didn't want to solve the problem that way. I went to the Mythrogen website but their customer message area of their webpage was not working. I finally got an email from Mythrogen after I clicked the "product not as described" box on the Amazon description. Once the company understood the problem, they sent a hood right away! The gift was now complete. Likely the shipping error was on Amazon's end due to the holidays, not Mythrogen. I thank them for their understanding and prompt correction!

Good fit, well made, realistic
Got a size large, he is 6’3” 200 lbs. It is a little snug in some spots but he does not plan to wear a gambeson. If you are wanting to wear one order a size up. It came oiled to help protect the metal so that was amazing.

Mid-range quality. Good for the price
I bought several sets of these for a theatrical production. Yeah, we had to close some rings and fix things as they opened over the course of rehearsals and performances. That's to be expected with butted rings. It wasn't the highest quality. But it worked well, was definitely worth the price, and I would certainly purchase it again if I needed more.

Great quality for the price
I’m sure it’s not “battle ready” but it looks cool and I feel cool wearing chainmail. I’m 6’3 260 and the xl fits great.

For display, sure, not so much for wear
The wrong size was delivered the first time, but Amazon shipped out a new set on the same day it was discovered. The product looks great and has a nice coat of oil protecting it. It is good quality metal, but it is not well made. When I donned it, it took my friend with needle-nose pliers almost 20 mins to clear the 4 snags, whilst stuck with my arms over my head. He ended up having to pull 2 rings from the armor, but was able to simply rotate the rings out of the other 2 snags. The rings have sizable gaps in them, allowing the rings to lock while donning it. It was the first time I wore it, and it was extra large, so its not like I am stretching it out. If the rings were compressed so there was no gap, this would not happen. The price seems good, but if you intend on wearing it more than once, then it is not worth it. Will just be used for display from now on.
