5 years later still working strong!
I had this for 5 years and its still working strong! Did I took good care of it? Heck no! I am a very irresponsible to take care of things. I am surprised it last me this long. This is the best electric pressure washer I ever owned. This pressure washer does very good job and its very durable. I see they came up with a newer model. I will definitely buy this again if it ever breaks on me. Its a worthy investment. In the last 5 years I have never taken my car to a car wash. The reason why I'm writing this review is because we had a new car wash in my town that has become very popular. I get asked to go try it. I was curious of the prices since its been a long time I haven't been to a car wash. I was shocked to see the starting price was $22 and up per month. I appreciate my pressure washer more because I personally feel like I wash my car better. Yes you get unlimited washes but i dont want the washing hitting my car and missing few dirty spots.

Very Pleasantly Surprised
This is a review of the Sun Joe SPX3000 Xtream electric pressure washer (2200PSI, 1.65GPM, 13A).I have long used (and hated) a Sears Craftsman gas powered pressure washer (2800PSI, 2.5GPM, 7HP). I wanted to replace it, but I was very uncertain of purchasing this Sun Joe pressure washer. I have now used it, and like the headline says, I was very pleasantly surprised. The Craftsman washer often did not do a good job, and I really thought I needed a washer with a higher pressure, not one with a lower pressure. And I was concerned about powering an electric washer with a 13A current draw. All of my exterior power outlets are connected to 15A GFI breakers. These breakers often trip, even when the current draw is well under 15A and there is no ground fault. I think these breakers heat up when they are loaded with something like my table saw, and start tripping on maybe a 12A load (not sure what the motor draws at startup). Anyway, I bought a contractor grade 100' extension cord (12AWG wire?) that I plug into a 20A circuit in my garage, so I can use my table saw at "remote" locations without having the breaker keep tripping on me. Problem solved. This Sun Joe washer has its own GFI breaker built into the power plug, so it is safe to use in wet locations on a non-GFI circuit. This Sun Joe washer has a 34' power cord, so with my extension cord, I can reach any location I might ever need to use the washer. However, if you plan to use an extension cord, you will need to use one that is more substantial than a typical home-use extension cord. Now, as to pressure washing performance, the Sun Joe SPX3000 Xtream actually does a better job, faster, than my old 2800PSI pressure washer. Perhaps my old washer did not truly deliver the promised pressure. But I really think the difference is produced by the Sun Joe nozzles. This Sun Joe washer comes with four different nozzles (40, 25, 15 and 0 degree fan angle) and the quick disconnect fitting makes changing nozzles easy. On my deck, I used the 25 deg nozzle most of the time, which cleans well and quickly. When I hit a tough spot that needed a more concentrated stream, I simply switched down to the 15 deg nozzle. Problem solved. But the real joy was the ability to rotate the fan. With my old washer, I had to contort my arm to align the fan with the gaps between the boards. With the Sun Joe, I set the fan perpendicular to the boards when washing the top surfaces, and rotate the fan parallel to the boards when cleaning down into the gaps between the boards. My arm stays in a comfortable position in either case. For cleaning my driveway, I also bought the Sun Joe SPX-PWB1 Scrubbing Broom (see separate review). This broom has three nozzles, that individually probably would not do a good job of cleaning a rough concrete surface. But when you combine three nozzles with the scrubbing power of the broom, you can do a good job very quickly. I tested this on a section of my driveway (maybe 100 sq. ft.), and it did a better job, much more quickly, than my old pressure washer. The main problem with the old washer was that I tended to leave "zebra stripes" on the concrete due to the single nozzle and depending on the water spray alone to do the cleaning. I had to go back over each swath of concrete to hit the stripes a second time. And even with that, it was difficult to achieve uniform coloration of the concrete, post cleaning. Pressure washing my long driveway, large parking apron and sidewalks generally turned into an all-day chore, that I tended to avoid. While I have tested the Sun Joe on only a limited area, I do believe the combination of the SPX3000 and the SPX-PWB1 will do a better job, more quickly - with less water usage. It may be a guy thing, but I get real pleasure out of using the right tool to do a good, professional job. I have a jointer/planer that I rarely use. But when I have a woodworking project that can only be done well with such a tool, it truly is fun to work with that tool. I have a strong feeling that this Sun Joe electric pressure washer will become such a tool for me. Work is not work when it is fun, and you can take pride in your results.

Great home power washer.
Overall a great pressure washer that works very well, just learn to know which attachment to use, as it has some serious power with the smaller ranged heads. It's lightweight and easy to use, and the hose is really long, plus the cord is as well. soap dispenser works very well, just switch to right head. Price is greatONE issue is that the hose attach location seems to be backwards, as you're backing into, as hose attaches to front instead of back. Not sure of what was the plan, but it's awkward

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SUN JOE SPX3000
I RENT A GAS PRESSURE WASHER EVERY YEAR FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS AROUND THE HOUSE, I HAVE USED GAS PRESSURE WASHERS TO REMOVE CHIPPING PAINT FROM THE CINDER BLOCK FOUNDATION IN PREPARATION TO REPAINT, BUT MOSTLY I USE IT YEARLY TO CLEAN MY CONCRETE WALKWAY, DRIVEWAY AND PATIO. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. DUE TO A RECENT INJURY I AM UNABLE TO LIFT HEAVY ITEMS, SO THIS YEAR I DECIDED TO LOOK AT ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHERS. I DID MY HOMEWORK, I WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND LOWE'S AND I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND WATCHED YOU TUBE VIDEOS AND READ ALL THE REVIEWS. THE SUN JOE SPX3000 ALWAYS STOOD OUT FROM THE REST IN ALL THE REVIEWS I READ. I ORDERED ONE FROM AMAZON.COM. IT WAS TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK, BUT HAD THE BEST PRICE I COULD FIND INCLUDING FREE SHIPPING. ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER I HAD MY NEW PRESSURE WASHER.IT TOOK ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND INSTALL EIGHT ITEMS:1. THE HANDLE, (FOUR SCREWS)2. THE TRIGGER GUN HOLDER, (JUST POPS ON)3. THE SPRAY WAND PROTECTOR- (ONE SCREW AND A POP IN TAB)-THIS WAS A LITTLE TRICKY, THE TAB DID NOT WANT TO LOCK IN, BUT IT FINALLY DID)4. THE DETERGENT BOTTLES- (THEY WERE ALREADY IN PLACE BUT NEEDED TO BE "SEATED)5. THE HOSE HOLDER (SLIDES IN PLACE AND IS HELD ON WITH ONE SCREW)6. CONNECT ONE END OF THE HIGH PRESSURE HOSE TO TO THE REAR OF THE UNIT AND THE OTHER END TO THE TRIGGER GUN. (ONE END IS MADE FOR THE TRIGGER GUN AND THE OTHER END IS MADE TO CONNECT TO THE UNIT.)7. ATTACH THE WAND TO THE TRIGGER GUN.8. ATTACH THE PLASTIC WATER INLET COUPLER TO THE FRONT OF THE UNIT-(THIS IS WHAT MOST PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT WHERE LEAKING OCCURS. MINE LEAKED TOO. I JUST REMOVED IT AND CAREFULLY RE INSTALLED IT MAKING SURE IT WAS NOT CROSS THREADED AND THERE WAS NO MORE LEAKING. IT DID START LEAKING AGAIN AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR OF USAGE. I HAD TO REMOVE THE COUPLER AGAIN, THIS TIME I REMOVED THE SMALL BLACK WASHER OR O-RING AND TURNED IT OVER. I MADE SURE IT WAS SEATED CORRECTLY, THEN RE INSTALLED THE COUPLER. IT HAS NOT LEAKED AGAIN.THE POWER PLUG ON THIS UNIT IS HUGE. IT HAS A BUILT IN GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER BUILT IN FOR SAFETY. THE PLUG IS SO LARGE IT WOULD NOT FIT INTO MY OUTDOOR OUTLETS SO I HAD TO USE A SHORT 5 FOOT EXTENSION CORD DESIGNED FOR PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONERS. THIS WORKED FINE. I TESTED THE GROUND FAULT AND IT TOO WORKED FINE. YOU MUST NOT USE A COMMON HOUSE HOLD EXTENSION CORD WITH THIS UNIT. YOU MUST USE THE PROPER GAUGE EXTENSION CORD WITH THIS UNIT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BURN UP THE MOTOR. CONSULT THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR THE PROPER EXTENSION CORD.SO NOW I AM READY TO USE MY PRESSURE WASHER:1. I DOUBLE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS PUT TOGETHER SECURELY2. I HOOKED UP MY GARDEN HOSE TO THE FRONT OF THE UNIT (MAKE SURE THE HOSE IS NOT KINKED). I TURNED ON THE WATER FAUCET ALL THE WAY. (THAT IS WHEN I SAW THE FIRST WATER LEAK AND HAD TO RE INSTALL THE COUPLER) .3. I PLUGGED IN THE POWER CORD (USING MY SHORT A/C EXTENSION CORD) AND MADE SURE IT WOULD NOT GET WET BY HANGING IT UP ON A PLANT HOOK ON MY PATIO.4. I SNAPPED IN ONE OF THE QUICK CONNECT NOZZLES. (I DID NOT KNOW WHICH ONE WOULD WORK BEST FOR MY APPLICATION)5. I RELEASED THE SAFETY LOCK ON THE TRIGGER.6.. I SQUEEZED THE TRIGGER WHICH ALLOWS WATER TO FLOW THROUGH THE SYSTEM.7. I TURNED ON THE MACHINE.IT WORKS!!I PLAYED AROUND WITH THE DIFFERENT NOZZLES. I WANTED TO CLEAN MY CONCRETE WALK WAY. THE GREEN NOZZLE 25 DEGREES WORKED BEST. I WAS AMAZED AT THE POWER OF THIS LITTLE MACHINE. IT CLEANED MY CONCRETE AS GOOD AS A GAS PRESSURE WASHER. I USED THIS FOR ABOUT FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT. I WAS VERY PLEASED. THE UNIT IS QUIET COMPARED TO A GAS UNIT, BUT I STILL WORE EAR PLUGS TO PROTECT MY HEARING. WHEN YOU RELEASE THE TRIGGER, THE MACHINE SIMPLY CUTS OFF AND THERE IS NO NOISE. OCCASIONALLY THE UNIT WOULD PULSE WITH VERY LOW PRESSURE ON RESTARTING, BUT RELEASING THE TRIGGER AND PRESSING IT AGAIN IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM.I DID NOT USE THE DETERGENT BOTTLES, SO NO COMMENT.AS FAR AS LONGEVITY, THAT REMAINS TO BE SEEN. I USUALLY USE A PRESSURE WASHER ONCE A YEAR SO I HOPE TO HAVE MINE FOR A QUITE SOME TIME. SUN JOE WARRANTS THE MACHINE FOR TWO YEARS.BOTTOM LINE. THIS IS A VERY POWERFUL ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER AND IS ALMOST AS GOOD AS A GAS UNIT. THIS MACHINE CAN CLEAN CONCRETE WITH EXCELLENT RESULTS, YOU CAN CLEAN VINYL SIDING, WOOD DECKS, PATIO FURNITURE, GAS GRILLS AND MORE. AND YES YOU COULD POSSIBLY DAMAGE SOMETHING IF YOU DO NOT USE CAUTION.I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY SUN JOE SPX3000 AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO BE BOTHERED WITH A GAS POWERED PRESSURE MACHINE.
