I moved wired smoke alarms from my cathedral ceilings to a more accessible spot. Patching the popcorn ceiling would have looked terrible because it's really tough to achieve a really good match in texture and color. These plates were easy to install and they don't draw attention to the area.

Actually four and a half stars. I have a quibble with the furnished screws.I removed a couple old fire alarms from a hall ceiling and was left with some unsightly holes with the junction box still in place. The boxes are standard four-inch octagonal boxes that are often used with ceiling fixtures. This plate is perfect for covering one. The holes in the plate are recessed and 3 1/2 inches apart--this matches the mounting tabs in the box. The plate is furnished with two, 1-inch, slotted, flat-head screws.I had to tap a couple of the mounting holes on the junction box in order to put the screws in easily. This was probably because the original screws were cross-threaded in, but be aware.My only complaint is that the screws do not recess flush and protrude enough to be unsightly. The slotted head makes it worse; especially because the paint in the slot gets flaked off during the exertions of turning the screw into place. I mean "slotted heads"? I haven't seen one since the twentieth century.I am glad I bought this and I would recommend it to a friend.

Nice because it is metal instead of plastic, thin so it mounts fairly flush. BUT IT DID NOT COME WITH HARDWARE even though the listing says it does. This really irks me because who has white screws laying around the house? I'll have to touch up the drywall screws I had on hand and paint them white to match. Price is good and arrived quickly so I added another star even after the missing hardware had me hitting a 3 star review.

Searched for weeks high and low for a cover for my indoor junction box. Finally found one that's not straight up metallic and that fits exactly over the box with the right screws. Holds in place and fits flush with the wall. It's off-white, which doesn't match my wall but that's ok because it has a matte texture, which seems easy to paint. Just ordered a second one to cover the junction box in the other room.

Works as advertised, looks quality. Good for the price.

This worked perfectly for what I needed. Because the whole I was covering is in the floor in a closet I did not want a plastic cover and opted for this metal one. It was easy to install. I painted to match wood flooring, easy to paint and looks great. Best of all it’s sturdy and a great value.

Bought because I have used this brand before with success. However, this time it came without screws (main reason I ordered it). Good product, but cheap packaging that caused screws to be lost before arriving.
