Yummy
These nuts are awesome and shipped with Prime and on sale makes them even better. They are really good nuts with just the perfect amount of salt added to make them awesome. Have used them as part of trail mixes as well as mixed with raisins for the kids. My kids love to eat these and it gives them extra energy needed in between proper meals. If you get these on sale or through subscribe and save you will not be sorry. Taste is great so no need to worry about going bad before they are long gone. Lid is easy to open and keeps them fresh as well as extra large so you can stick your fat hand inside to scoop a few as you snack! Yummy!

Unhealthy Peanuts - Hope this review helps
I bought these and the unsalted variety because I make homemade peanut butter. I should have paid closer attention to the ingredients. These peanuts include cottonseed oil, a hydrogenated oil. I don't know why they don't just roast them with peanut oil. Well actually I do know why: Peanut Oil is more expensive than cottonseed oil.If roasted with peanut oil these peanuts would be healthier and in my humble opinion taste better. I've switched to buying peanuts from The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg ([...]), which are also available via Amazon Prime though unfortunately not part of Amazon's Subscribe and Save Program. I just bought the last 3 cases (two unsalted and one salted) though so you'll have to wait until they get more. They are more expensive but better quality and healthier food normally is more expensive. If you care about your health, stay away from hydrogenated oils and, accordingly, stay away from Planter's Peanuts. Once you become accustomed to the taste of unadultarated peanuts you'll never go back. It's been a while since I wrote this review and today, 4/9/2011 someone commented about my original review and the higher cost of the Williamsburg Brand peanuts. Of course, generally speaking, unfortunate as it may be, we often must pay more for healthier foods. Accordingly I thought it would be a good idea to update my review. If there's a Costco near you, there's a Kirkland Brand salted peanut that they sell, in a rather large can. The peanuts are pure and unadulterated and only roasted in peanut oil; no unhealthy cottonseed oil like the Planter's. And, they are, I'm confident either less expensive or most certainly much more cost competitive than the Williamsburg brand to which I alluded in my earlier review. So, in this particular case, provided one has access to a Costco, one need not pay more for a healthier peanut.

Delicious and No Cholesterol, but High in Fat
Over the years, I've bought at least a couple of dozen of these (single jars) from my local Wal-Mart for about the same price as here.Beware, once opened, they can get stale within a couple of months (maybe because the [useful & reusable] jars are not air tight).Update: Thanks to the comments and reviews here at Amazon, I've learned a little more about cottonseed oil from here: [...]My review went from 4 stars to 3 stars. And I'm probably going to avoid these in the future.

PLANTERS COCKTAIL PEANUTS 35-OUNCE PLASTIC JARS(PACK OF 3)
A phenomenal bargain from Warehouse Deals fulfilled by Amazon with free shipping that only cost me $12.23, for 3 HUGE JARS of peanuts which will last me a long time! I got these in October I believe and still have 2 full un-opened jars and about to finish the first. A good buy if you can find it for this price. They are very fresh and not too salty.

Good peanuts
I eat peanuts like they're going out of style. They provide a high quality protein and the oils are fantastic for the body. Every couple of hours I'll have two or three handfuls of these, throughout the day.The only problem is the salt. They're supposed to be heart healthy but for my taste there's just way too much salt on them. I'd prefer no salt but Planters doesn't offer that. Instead, I have to rinse the salt off while trying not to wash the oil away with it.

good peanuts
What can i say about planter peanuts, they were a good value. They are tasty as always and they will last me for a good long time. Nothing really new to say about a good peanut and value.

NOT EXACTLY FRESH
I bought some sealed cans of the same peanuts a while back, and they tasted totally different from these. The prior ones had the characteristics oily/salty property that make these peanuts so good, but these are dry, and all the salt seems to be on the bottom of the container. All in all they don't taste fresh, but I can't really decifer the date code to be sure.Probably won't buy these again.
