Is this kit compatible with ecosmart gas tankless water heater?

This Hydro Master isolation valve kit will works for most all tankless gas water heaters that have a 3/4" NPT connection.

Is it ok to use pipe dope instead of ptfe thread tape?

I don't use tape on anything. I use non hardening pipe dope suitable for lp or natural gas (not liquid) and water. I apply it so it doesn't get pushed inside the pipeline. I leave about a 1/4" bare thread on male pipe. Never had a problem.

will this work with Titan n180 tankless water heater?

If the water heater has 3/4 inch water inlets, and outlets it will work.
