This is a product prepared following the real ayurvedic recipe. Please do not expect it suddenly brightens your skin. But use it daily as a night serum and it will keep your skin healthy and blemish free. To see any visible result, you have to use at least for three months. This will be the best affordable skin care product you can get. My skin is acne prone but this oil based product will not create pimple / acne instead it will cure acne. I have been using it since ages because I belong to Kerala.

Using this since a month, and i can see visible changes in my face complexion and the pigmentation. i deffenetly recommend this product.

People are leaving negative review after using it for just a few days or months. Well, it'd show visible results in a week or so, but to experience real result, you need to use it for a atleast a couple of month. It isn't made with chemicals that penetrates your skin instantly and gives temporary results, while harming your skin. It is a ayurvedic oil, so have some patience.Also, the same product is sold by a brand - Veda - for more than ₹2000, which I feel is outrageous.

My mom recommended this ,eventhough we are using the same product .My skin is erupting and moms skin is fine .So this is recommended for non dry skin.

I was in search of a kumkumadi tailam which can help in fading pigmentation.. I m suffering from melasma and pimple marks on my skin.. Its around a month,m using it during bed time at night.. M having a acne prone combination skin with occassional breakouts.. It do help in acne prevention ..even it treat hormonal acne.... Bt i m not able to find any help it did to my old pigmentation or melasma.. Pigmentation problm is not solved at all... In terms of even out skin or softening the texture.. Yes it did bt not that much or i think it will take time to show some mentionable results..Overall:-1.Yes for acne problm2.A big no for any old pigmentation3. One bottle can last long.. Just need 3 drops to cover whole faceEditing my old review after.. 2.5 months of usage...i bought it in jan,2019..1. Not at all hydrating2. Found no improvement in fine lines...no glow enhancements3. It is great and has a good smell as well. The only thing is that you need to apply this either at night or at a time when you are not stepping out.. as the oil stays on the skin for some time. you can even wipe it off after 10-15 mins but I leave it on for the night.May not be great for oily skin thoughvery effective and it shows positive results on normal skin.

I am currently using it for my diffusely spread hyperpigmentation on my face, two bottles already finished and still hoping positively that it will show some change on my face. One of my sisters friend had used it for six months and then had a drastic change on her face. So i am also planning to use it for 6 months and then c the result.

Excellent 5 star skin product based on ancient Indian wisdom. Was v fortunate tohave found this at first shot without experimenting with other expensive brands. The Kotakkal name is enough. Am 50 plus, have extremely sensitive, dry, itchy, Rosacea prone, sun sensitive skin- and had dark pigmentation marks on forehead. Am against fairness products but wanted a good skin softener that would bring out my natural Indian brown dusky skin colour that I am VERY proud of. This felt GREAT on the v first application. Skin just soaked it up. Every night a few drops well massaged...and next morning I would feel and look great. Not at all sticky. Within days I noticed my skin looked brighter. The v visible dark pigmentation had gone. Even if I forget to use it a few nights my skin maintains its radiance. This is a MIRACLE oil. No need for any of the much touted chemical based top branded creams lotions moisturizers that can harm sensitive skin - especially if you want a natural chemical free product. I've tried ALL kinds of expensive lotions and creams... This has been THE BEST. We Indians need to respect and encourage our ancient wisdom and natural sciences as well as use natural products that suit our beautiful brown Indian skin and dusky complexion.
