incredible.
this is an incredible lens. The sharpness is second to non. I love how close I can get to my subject and how the background separates from the subject. Perfect for portraits, wedding and events. It heavy but worth every gram

Incredibly sharp
I have always liked the ease of zoom lenses until I purchased this lens. However, the sharpness and detail this lens records beats any zoom, even the other L range zooms I have, and on an EOS R5 most photos can be cropped to suit anyway. I never thought I would ever go back to using a standard 50mm again, but since buying this lens, I have hardly had it off of my camera. Great lens!

A great buy.
This is a lovely lens, a little heavy but worth it for the quality and it’s amazing sharpness. I mostly use long telephoto lenses so I was unsure about buying a 50mm but this was so worth it.

Awesome lens
Amazingly sharp, great in low lightsituations. Expensive, big, heavy and no image stabilisation, but still amazing.

The nice little promo video refers to the 1.8 STM which is a vastly different lens. As you were.
