Q: Is this compatible with bm1430ch? the blanco spares site gives no measurements and i don't want to pay their prices...!

Q: Maybe a daft question but how do you know if it’s the hot or cold valve that’s leaking?

Not exactly daft! but rather obvious! Turn off hot feed and see if tap drips. If it does, it is the cold valve that leaks. If leak stops it is the hot valve that leaks. Confirm by reversing the turning on / off the feeds to the tap to check when the leak occurs. Also a leak may occur due to debris in the tap valve seating. Remove valves and ensure the valves and seats are clean. For the extra cost involved it usually is worth changing both ceramic valves at the same time!! Then you know you have two new valves in the tap.

Your question is irrelevant (the valves I wanted are 20 spline) !! Check which Blanco Cleo you have!! There seem to be three types: Cleo (BM6112), Cleo ll (BM6102) and Cleo with removable levers (BM6100). Cleo and Cleo ll use ceramic valves 2181 and 2182 and these are 28 spline. Not sure about the Cleo with removable levers. Check with Blanco or TapMagician or Blancotapspares.

It is not beyond the wit of man (or woman) to google There you will find www.blancotapspares.co.uk and you will find the complete spares, their part numbers and cost for the BM5400CH and all the other models within that range of taps - including the hot and cold ceramic valves - it just takes a bit of common sense!!
