Self propel Wheeled mobile commode shower chair with footrests and flip up armrests

Bought 2 of these self propel wheelchairs for my Disabled Swim Club as we needed chairs to transport members from the pool to the showers, these chairs are ideal as the material is waterproof and when not in use they can be easily folded and stored and even better, they are not chunky or heavy..

This arrived very quickly - and a couple of days earlier than expected. It was very easy to assemble, seemed sturdy and is very maneuverable. Good for the price - which excludes VAT so didn't have to go through Amazon's rigmarole for reclaiming VAT. Not yet used but looks as if it will be just the job - needed for the shower for independent paraplegic - although the seat is not padded - just a solid lump of wood - which could cause pressure sores. I have only given 4 stars also because some of the plastic bits were broken - one of the clips that attaches the seat to the frame, one of the ends of the frame tubes. Also some of the seat covering was missing underneath. None of these things affect the functionality - we glued the tube end together and there are 5 more clips keeping the seat in place - but it is disappointing to get something that is not in 100% good condition.

A waste of money. The brake on one side keeps slipping downwards no matter how often it's tightened. Removing the armrest for access and putting it back on again is awkward and fiddly, as you have to press the button through the wheels. Also it's very clumsy to manoeuvre in a sloped shower. All in all a disappointment. I have to put up with it as I can't afford to buy another one.

Really happy with this it’s made doing transfers so much easier and safer. Mum feels a lot more independent now.

Excellent it is useful and is a very good thing to buy it helped my sister as she had sevior back pains and this chair supported her
