I was concerned about being able to get the hose off, but as suggested a very short time heating with hair dryer and it came right off. Good as new again!

Glad to find a part for my 1999 Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner. Only problem was , it was a bit too long to connect to the hose. After cutting the metal end about 1/2 inch it fit perfectly.
