RE705X AX3000 - Outstanding performance
I have the tri-band TP-Link Archer AXE75 WiFi 6E router located on the bottom floor of a three storey house. I'm very pleased with the performance and reliability for the price but the 400+Mbits signal drops to around 100Mbits on the top floor so I did some research and chose the dual band RE705X range extender over the much more expensive and poorly reviewed RE815X. I'm blown away how strong the signal is two floors away. I added the extender as a mesh device on the top floor and performed speed tests for a week. I now get around 300-350Mbits on the top floor and the extender is rock solid. The signal is so strong 18 of my 25 WiFi devices have slowly migrated over to the extender and connectivity issues with a printer on the top floor have been resolved.I was expecting the extended signal to be less than half the router's wireless signal so I'm very happy it's nearly the same speed as stood near the router. The Onemesh system works seamlessly when moving around the property that now has fast and reliable wireless speeds on all three floors. Note: Make sure you buy it from the TP-Link Amazon store to ensure you get the latest hardware revision (currently v2.0 as of May 2024) that uses 0.5W less power than the 2022 version 1.0.ProsFast.Reliable.Reasonable price.Easy to setup.Useful features in Tether app.ConsOn the large side but doesn't block a double socket if using a normal sized plug on the adjacent socket.Still no guest network extension.Takes 3 minutes to boot up.

Really good extender
The TP-Link RE705X WiFi 6 Extender is an absolute game-changer for anyone looking to enhance their home network. With speeds of up to 3000Mbps, this extender delivers exceptional performance, making it ideal for gaming, streaming, and handling multiple connected devices simultaneously. One of the standout features is its WiFi 6 technology, which brings faster speeds, greater capacity, and reduced latency. The signal remains stable and reliable even in previously hard-to-reach corners of the house. The setup process is incredibly straightforward, thanks to the intuitive TP-Link Tether app, which guides you step-by-step.The RE705X's compact design ensures it blends seamlessly into your home without taking up much space. It also features a Gigabit Ethernet port, perfect for connecting devices that need a wired connection for even greater speed and reliability.Since I started using this extender, dead zones have become a thing of the past. The performance boost is noticeable, and the improved coverage has made a world of difference. Whether you're a tech enthusiast or just someone tired of patchy WiFi, the TP-Link RE705X is a fantastic investment. Highly recommended!

A solid range extender with amazing results... takes some messing about though initially.
Really good at boosting speed! (once you have got it in the right location and setup correctly... this can take time). I found on my Ps5 that we have a bit of a dead zone in the corner of our house (where the TV and the Ps5 is setup). After several hours of swearing and running up and downstairs, I finally was able to hit acceptable fibre speeds (our plan is 900Mbps download) and with this extender I was able to hit 583Mbps - a massive jump from the 90 Mbps I was achieving before the device. This does mean however to achieve this I have had to use the ethernet port on the extender and run a cat5e cable to my PlayStation. The setup is a bit messy and that is why I am rating this product 4, instead of 5 stars. I was kinda hoping that I would be able to have the extender in another room and just use the wifi boost. But maybe my expectations are a bit to high. I also found the product easy to setup and manage using the Tether tp link app.

Good item to boost weak WiFi signal
Good item which has extended the WiFi signal to a previous blind spot. Easy to set up but may need a bit of moving around to find the strongest signal.

Easy to setup and very reliable so far.
I have been through two different cheaper types of plug-in wifi repeater, the latest being Duoboost. Found them unreliable with frequent disconnects and needing to be rebooted often. The lesson is, don’t waste money on cheap Chinese products as it’s a false economy. The TP-Link RE705X is very easy to setup, comes with a well designed app to assist with connecting and has so far been very reliable and provides good speeds. I have two in the house and they seamlessly work together to extend my wifi to every room. Excellent product.

More flakey than our existing internet!
Setup seemed simple enough. Got 4 blue lights, so I was excited to see my improved connection. Initially all seemed well, but when I returned to my tablet later in the day, I thought I'd check on things. My tablet had reverted to my original connection, because, although it said I had a connection with the extender, it also said I had no internet. All 4 devices set up with the extender now had no internet connection. Yet if we connected to our router directly, bypassing the extender we had an internet connection as normal. This morning I thought I'd try again, having unplugged the extender last night. Again had an error message that there was no internet connection. However, about 10 minutes later it seemed to have fixed itself and we had internet again. As I write, the connection has gone again. Way too flakey for us. the whole point of getting this was to boost our signal in areas when our existing signal is flakey, but this thing isn't helping! I rang TP Link helpline, and spoke to someone sounding like a bot, but with a terrible accent I could barely understand. Just as I was about to hang up, the call went quiet and she/the bot had disappeared. Couldn't make it up.
