Great product
Happy to finally have a tool that can help me achieve consistent edge on my chisels and hand plane blades. It is well constructed with quality materials and very accurate. The wide roller vs smaller roller makes it easier to keep the tool level while using. Good smooth threads and nice sold weight and feel. Brass tighten knob is heavy duty and solid brass.Works well and easy to align to the right angle. It takes a little getting used to when trying to tighten the item being sharpened as the clamping brackets have a slight internal angle that helps push the blade to the top to make square though can sometimes catch preventing proper alignment. This is not this tool but this design tool that has this issue. It's easy to get it dialed in once you've done it several times. This is the best version of this design to helpensure consistent sharpening. Well done!

Well made tool.
Great tool for holding the correct angle for sharpening your chisels and block plane blades. The guide is super easy to use and the tool stays tight while you're working it with just a small turn of a screwdriver.

Spot On
I've purchased several cheapo honing guides in an attempt to avoid the cost of the Lie-Nielson guide, and with some work they can function okay. This one is really excellent, much higher quality and the stop block works very well (aluminum, also). Verified the angle is always spot on with a digital angle guide. The blade sits flat, retention is good, works on 1/8in chisels and 2 3/8ths plane blades equally well and doesn't roll side to side. Great product!

Large roller is excellent for beginners
I am new to woodworking and trying to get the hang of sharpening hand plane blades, and chisels. I originally bought the cheap $12 version on amazon and ended up returning because I realized my blades were becoming not square because I was wobbling on the small thin roller wheel on those. This roller goes all the way across and super noob friendly.

Would not buy this again, especially for chisels 1/2" or less.
I would not buy this again, as it's totally not worth the money. It did OK for plane blades, but not so much for chisles. When setting it up for the correct angle, the chisel does not stay at the 'top' of the 'holder' which throws off the angle while trying to clamp it down. You really have to fenagle it to line it up correctly. For chisels that are 1/2" or less, it's impossible to line the chisel up straight in the guide so you get a secondary bevel that cuts across the blade at an angle. I should have followed my instincts and bought a much cheaper one.

Tolerances negatively impact precision.
It's a great idea, what with the wide roller and angle-setting jig.However.The tolerances between the clamps and the rails/screw they travel on are poor. You will not achieve the same tool fit from use-to-use, meaning that essentially every attempt to sharpen will be at least a partial edge restoration, and not merely a dressing. Further, the clamp jaws are probably not steel (not magnetic) and the fact that these travel on a steel thread will degrade precision further with use. If I had access to a machine shop I could fix it, but then again I wouldn't have had the need to buy.On 3/8" and 3/4" chisels, the resultant edge is NOT square because of differences between each of the clamps. This jig might be OK for hand plane blades because they're typically wider.

Great guide!
I wanted something better build quality than the $19 mass produced honing guide. So I splurged and bought this rig. And glad I did! Great machining and proper anodizing which seems to be holding up well. I've had this for over a year and it's served me well so far. I'm happy with it.

Great in theory, poor execution.
Great in theory, poor execution. Jaws that hold the blade are not ridged so the blade will not consistently sit flat. The brass roller is not even trued causing the the bevel of the blade to rise and fall as it rolls over the sharpening stone. A true waste of money!
