I haven't used a ton of butters for my hair, but I was pleasantly surprised by this! It easily melts in your hands for application, and I felt like I could evenly spread it through my hair. My curls looked so soft and lovely, and the scent was nice! I love that it has all natural ingredients and less chemicals!

Sky Organics' Organic Shea & Babassu Moisture Butter is a rich moisturizing combination of delightful organic, easy to pronounce, herbs and oils. I took a picture of the ingredients label to check the list. It's packaged in an 8 oz jar, making it a good value too. You need very little of this when applying to your hair or your skin. Less than a dime size for hair ends. This is a very thick and heavy moisture butter. The color is a yellow and it has a light citrus/orange scent.Something to remember with a product for your hair, keep anything with oils -such as the Sky Organics Butter- on your end, and do not apply to your mid sections or top. I can easily see how this would build up without daily washing or care in applying. I have thick, long, curly hair to my tush and it's dry, damaged and sprouts frizzies and fly aways in the humidity. This product sounded good for an Arkansas summer treatment. Have to say that i find it a bit too greasy to use on my hair. There are other products I prefer but, they are much more expensive too.The quality is clearly high, the texture is smooth and soft but it's not right for my hair. It IS great for my skin though. This makes a great body moisturizer, and my feet love it. Really softens your skin and the jar will last a year ;)

My hair is all at once wavy, curly, frizzy, and straight. I do whatever I can to tame the wavy and the frizzy and the curls. I've tried many products like this, and most are better, for the following reasons:Scent: This does not have a pleasant odor, but at least it's very subtle. I can't smell it once it's on my hair.Texture: Waxy and greasy. I had to rub it between my hands for a little while to make it melty enough to apply to my hair while it was still damp. I used a lot of soap to get the residue off my hands. When my hair dried, the curls were indeed tamed, but they were clumped together in greasy waves, and it looked like I hadn't washed my hair in a long while.

I’m usually weary of butter- based hair products because many times they’re difficult to wash out and they weigh my hair down. I saw this and thought I’d give it another try. I’m so glad I did! It’s creamy and smooth, moisturizing but not heavy. A little goes a long way and I love that it’s mildly scented. The ingredients are clean enough that any excess oil is rubbed onto my elbows and feet. Here I show the consistency of it compared to a different body balm. Love it!

This works well in my wavy hair. It leaves a nice shine yet doesn't stiffen my hair. I take a little bit, less than the size of a quarter, rub in my hands, and then work it gently through my hair.It has a slight almost fruity smell to it, which I can slightly smell once it's in my hair. I prefer fragrance free, so this is why I've taken off a star from the rating.

Update: This product is leaving a buildup in my hair that does not want to come out when shampooing. My hair still feels coarse and waxy. Also, the scent is really bothering me so I can’t use this anymore.This Sky Organics USDA Organic Shea & Babassu Moisture Butter arrived with a secure safety seal on the jar. It does a good job of calming the frizzies from my curly hair. Since beeswax is the third ingredient in the list, it does have a bit of a waxy feeling when I'm putting it on my damp hair. By the time it dries, my hair is behaving much better than without this product. I'm so tired of dealing with the big poofy humidity hair and am happy to have found this product. I like that this is USDA Certified Organic and Leaping Bunny Certified Cruelty-Free; as both are important to me. The moisture butter is mostly unscented but has a faint smell of window cleaner to me but not sure which ingredient that is. Good product overall.

This Sky Organics organic moisture butter smells like orange zest - I love it! There is quite a bit of product in here, and, at room temperature, it is a soft solid that is pale yellow in color. I was happy to see that the ingredients were all not only recognizable, but organic: these are good things like sunflower seed and coconut oils, as well as shea butter.It melted easily upon application, and I liked the way it made my hands feel too. Since the ingredients list is so simple and clean, I plan to alternate between using this as a hair treatment and a body moisturizer. I am very happy with this moisturizer!
