Very comfortable once you get used to the rolling action.
I have used an old pair of regular Fiskar shears for many years until the locking latch recently broke. My wife got me these and at first it was a little weird getting used to as they "roll" closed unlike the regular ones I am used to. After using them a bit I am finding they cut much easier with this rolling action via the power gear. The lock seems decent, but I've only been using them for about a month, so no comment on if they will last as long as my old one.

Cant Beat Fiskars
Does Fiskars even make a bad product? I have purchased Piskar cutting tools for years. I won't purchase anything else. I have their loppers, shears, and small trimmers. As a retired art teacher of 30 years, I only bought Fiskars scissors to be used by my students, grades JK-5. These particular trimmers cut precisely and are easy to sharpen. This are a must have for any gardener.

Great quality, very comfortable and effective
Great quality, very comfortable and effective to use. This is my second pair (first still works perfectly after 15 years. I am a homeowner who likes to garden and prune bushes etc. These ratchet pruners allow me to handle small easy things as well as larger branches thanks to the ratcheting design. My favorite go-to pruner for smaller cutting. For larger, I use Fiskars pruning shears with extendable handles. Great combination and for even larger job, my Stihl electric chain saws (having sold my gas chain saws.)

Sturdy, dependable garden tool
These pruners work well and are well made, easy to use, durable, have a comfortable grip and are easy to clean and care for. They cut well the first time and stay sharp. They are not heavy, making them easy to use without causing hand fatigue and I appreciate the bright orange color which helps keep track of them should you put them down in the garden and lose track of them.

First Fiskars product I actually HATE - these are horrible!
I somehow misplaced my trusty Fiskars bypass pruners, which I LOVED. I'm a long time gardener and I appreciate (and have) great gardening tools. So I got these. They SOUNDED great. Boy was I in for a rude, unpleasant surprise. The description says they will cut up to 3/4". HA!As soon as I got up to 1/4"-3/8" honeysuckle vine, I couldn't cut thru it. I tried again and the stupid rolling handle made them fall into an impossible to reach place so I had to go fish out a long handled reacher grabber to retrieve them. Then to make it thru the honeysuckle vine I had to use 2 hands. My old Fiskars bypass pruners would have sliced thru that like it was cooked spaghetti. Not these ones. Maybe if I had hands like Arnold Schwarteneger it might have worked, or hands the size of a catchers mit. But then WHAT IS THE POINT? Especially since the old version pruners I had (and will find, or will change brands) would have easily made the cut with one hand and not that much pressure.SOOOO disappointed in these rolling handle sissy cutters. Might as well use those kitchen scissors you can cut up a chicken with. Oh, and yes, I returned them the same day I tried them out, once I retrieved them from the bushes with the reacher grabber, then tried numerous more cuts as I had such a hard time believing these could be so awful.
