Worked Great! Never Failed! Great Value!
I purchased several of these for a recent trip to Europe and Africa. All the adapters were from the same manufacturer and every one of them worked well every time I used it.If you are looking for information on what kind of adapter you will need for your electronics or whatever else you might plug in, here it is very simply:1) This is simply an adapter, much like the one you might use at home to convert a three prong plug into a two prong one for an older outlet. It DOES NOT convert the power supply in any way!2) To determine if you can use this adapter for your computer, phone, whatever, look at the back of your device's charging plug or power supply and look for the label with all the small print electrical information on it. Somewhere on the label, near the top, you will see the word "INPUT" with some numbers following it, usually (hopefully) "100-240v." If it DOES have those numbers (100-240v, sometimes 100-250v) you can use this adapter almost anywhere around the world without any problems because your power supply can handle any voltage within the range of 100 and 240 volts and if there is a place in the world outside that range, I don't know where it is. Your device's power source is handling the conversions you need to safely operate your device so all you need is this adapter so it will fit in the local outlet.3) On some devices, especially older ones and things like curling irons and hair dryers, that "INPUT" area will only have one number, probably "110v." That devise will not convert correctly and you will immediately with nasty smells burn out whatever you try to plug in when the massive 240v power surges through your unprepared device. I wouldn't even bother taking stuff like that overseas. The price was very low and considering how I had no problems with any of them, I would rate them as an excellent value. Since the price is so low, I would recommend purchasing two so you have one as a back-up or for the occasional travel companion who, inevitably, doesn't even think about stuff like this.

EXCELLENT FOR UK
i use these every time i am in UK & have never had an issue with dual voltage appliances —- cell phones, computers etc, THESE ARE ADAPTERS NOT CONVERTERS. If you have a USA voltage appliance that is not dual voltage you need a STEP DOWN CONVERTER!! If you blow a circuit you are either using non-dual voltage appliance or you are using too many appliances on the circuit.

OREI Universal to Type G adapter: Sturdy, worked great for vacation
I bought the OREI adapter because I needed an adapter for a weeklong trip to Ireland. For those confused about electrical standards in Europe (I know I was), Ireland (yes, even southern Ireland) uses the same exact outlets as the UK (Type G). Note: If you're going to Continental Europe, you will need a different adapter than this one, since they use the Type C standard instead. If you do not stray outside Ireland/UK like me, then you will be fine with this one. After researching what else was available on Amazon, I picked this one because it was cheap and had mostly solid reviews. My expectations were not high since my phone charger was the only electrical device I was going to bring, and I only had to use an adapter for one country. It arrived in perfect condition, packaged in an envelope lined with bubble-wrap, and did not come in its own box or with any instructions. However, for a simple adapter such as this, I don't see why anyone would need documentation. The adapter is small and compact, and can easily fit into a coat pocket. Despite its size and plastic construction, it is sturdy and survived the entire trip without any damage and hardly a scratch. The prongs never bent, and it could always plug in fully without effort. I noticed during my stay though that the stubby design of the prongs on UK plugs seems to prevent them from being bent the way that the American ones do, so maybe that's how they all are. The adapter worked in every electrical outlet I used, from the inside of a coach bus to my girlfriend's apartment. If you noticed in the picture, it contains a second input on the top and allows you to plug in two things at once, which is nice. At one point, I did have two things plugged into it and it really did work. However, I should note that this second input will only take two-pronged plugs (non-grounded).I deducted one star because while everything was perfect, the adapter only saw one week of use, so I can't fairly say anything about how well it will stand the test of time. Based on my experience though, it should probably last at least a year or two of moderate usage.

I used this for deployment overseas
This little adapter is an essential item for U.S. military personnel who deploy overseas. I used it for all four of my deployments, and it never let me down. I recommend it.

Does its job very well
Used it during my family Singapore trip. Worked very well. The only downside is that it is only for UK socket, not flexible enough. BTW, one of the plug was broken on arrival. Contacted the seller (since don't want to return the whole thing) and received prompt response. They shipped a replacement plug very quickly before my trip started. Great.

Good converters
Nicely made, solid converters. These have a better design than most, because they allow two cords to be plugged into each adapter: one out the back, and one on the top/bottom.
