This water filter machine is absolutely the best filtration system I've owned. It's took me just over 20 mins to set up out the box. This was mainly due to flushing the water thought the filter this took me 3 times to get the system to 100%. The extra 5° would of been better for hot water. I live in a hard water area and you can notice the difference in the taste of the water. The filter is really easy to install and the cost of the filter is better then most on the market. My son loves it apparently his juice taste's better. Now the price tag for this is high but this is a high end well built appliance that actually works. You have the option of doing single cups/glasses or have the pitcher for bigger gatherings the best bit with this is if you use the pitcher and place it back on the machine it will refill it automatically.Great filtration system, perfect for a busy house. Would highly recommend

This Waterdrop hot and cold water filter is delivered in branded packaging and is securely packed to prevent transit damage. It was obvious that someone handled ours a bit roughly before being put in the Amazon box; there was a tear in the Waterdrop box. However, the contents inside were in superb condition, with no damage whatsoever.Out of the box, this water filter is a tad imposing (and also quite impressive!). A small unit it is not. It looks very well-made, professional, and, for a water filter, quite high-tech, particularly when the touch screen is activated. However, there are a few things to do before you can power it on, mainly removing a copious number of self-adhesive strips that further protect the unit in transit and fitting the supplied filter canister. All of this is very simple and only took me a few minutes.The unfiltered water reservoir is located at the back of the unit and holds just under 5 liters. After filling this, I switched the unit on, and it automatically entered a flush cycle that both backflushes the filter canister and then runs water through it. Again, this is all fully automated other than when you need to empty and refill the reservoir. When the flush cycle reached 100%, I could use the unit for drinking water. The whole flush process took approximately 20 minutes.I think the screen of this water filter is quite a thing of beauty, very legible and very easy to understand. Initially, it looks like there are a myriad of options, but after using it a few times, all became clear.Starting with the hot water dispenser, I think Waterdrop has nailed it. You are able to select from a range of temperatures, with 95°C being the highest. Some may be a tad disappointed with the flow of the hot water, but not me. Again, I feel Waterdrop has this spot on; a degree of care when dispensing water of this temperature makes a whole heap of sense to me.Turning to the cold water, this is where I am a little disappointed. Sure, the unit does EXACTLY what Waterdrop states it does (and hence it would be unfair to remove a star), and it cools the water to 15°C. However, I love chilled water. I feel that chilling massively improves the flavour. For water to be chilled, it needs to be served at approximately 5°C. I am not sure why, if the unit is capable of cooling water, it is not capable of chilling it. Ah well.When just sitting there, this unit is silent. When dispensing, you can hear the sound of a pump, but it is barely noticeable. It is only when the unit is pumping from the unfiltered reservoir into the front jug that the unit becomes slightly more noticeable noise wise. This front jug is used as a store of filtered water and is continually automatically kept full by the machine.Taste wise, I think this water filter massively improves the taste of hot drinks. We are really into our fruit teas these days, and this filtered water seems to make them come alive. So much so that we have packed away our kettle and will be using this machine for our hot water. Cold water taste is also improved, and I am really looking forward to a supply of cold, filtered water in the warmer months (would be better if it was chilled though…).I love that when dispensing hot water, there is a red LED, and when dispensing cold water, there is a blue. These could perhaps be brighter, but they do add a touch of class. I also love that the unit is tall enough that you can get a bottle under the cold dispenser rather than pour from the filtered jug. Oh, and the magnetic drip tray is genius, but cups need to be lifted when filling, else you get a fair amount of splashing.Lastly, I do think this water filter is a touch expensive, but I accept that the machine looks like a quality piece of kit, is well-made, and hopefully will last for quite some time, so some expense is justified.In summary, I am pretty much made up with this water filter; it is a high-tech product that excels at filtered hot water delivery and is more than competent at filtered cold water delivery. However, I would have preferred it to chill the water (as opposed to just making it cold) and it is a tad expensive.

First the good bit - as a filter system this device really does what it says on the tin. Measuring the water the TDS goes from nearly 300 to 6. So the filter system is very good.Now the bad bit - Ibought this device for the hot and cold feature and it just doesn't work. The 95 degree option gets to 77 degrees max. No where near hot enough for tea or coffee which was really annoying. Next up the cold water. The device says 15 degrees but the coldest I managed to get was 19 degrees. For reference water from my fridge is 7 degrees. Again more like room temp and not cold.Next up and the biggest flaw having had this device for few weeks now is the build quality. The jug on the front has to be aligned perfectly for the filter system to work. And the connector at the bottom is so imprecise I find myself taking it on and off a dozen times before it works. The worst thing it it sticks when you try and take it off as well.All in all, doesn't do what it says in terms of hot/cold and in my opinion is poorly made. I contacted customer service through the 4 day returns policy and got my money back. Will be shopping for another device.
