Excellent value for high capacity drives.
The HDD was packaged well, and arrived in perfect condition. SMART test results showed zero usage, 1 PoH, and everything was as it should be. After doing a full destructive write/read surface test the results came back with no errors, no bad sectors, and maintained good write and read speeds throughout. If you look up these drives online you'll find they are likely recertified HAMR drives. From what I read I expected them to be much more loud than they were, but it was not any more noisy than most other HDD's. When it comes to dollars per terabyte there is not a lower price for the same amount of space, and 22tb is a lot of extra space..

No problems, good seller.
Works fine, no problems. The drive comes as MBR so it needs to be changed to GPT and formatted to use the full drive. I use Mini Partition for this and everything was as expected.

Refurbished.
First time we have ever ordered a refurbished item. So far so good.

Bulk Storage sweet spot for price - recertified vs used a good bet.
Re-certified hard drives can be a gamble - recently there have been many drives released to re-sellers that have been fraudulently altered to hide their "used" status. Re-certified drives from a reputable dealer are worth the slightly higher cost vs. a used drive to ensure good drive operation. These enterprise drive perform as you would expect, show zero hours in S.M.A.R.T. and have the Seagate re-certified labels. 20TiB drives are a good compromise on price vs capacity, and should be a good value for next few years for anyone needing bulk storage. Pair these with a good ZFS RAID solution, and sequential read I/O can be comparable to SATA SSDs. Random I/O of course will be lower.

Drives arrive broken.
Unfortunately most of these drives have arrived broken. Beeping and errors with booting. Price is reduced for a reason. Will not be trying this again.
