Beware! After a couple weeks of use, my 105lb wife was hanging on it doing crunches, and the bar twisted and she collapsed on the floor, hitting her head and tailbone. The center screw holding the two center pieces together is not sturdy enough. Be very careful if you purchase this item.

It does what it's supposed to. Very sturdy and spans a wider than normal doorway. Provides plenty of hand and arm positions and doesn't put you too close to the ceiling or the wall. It arrived with missing parts, but they quickly replaced it.

I when through three different pull up bars that claimed to fit my doorway before I found this one. My doorway is 6 inches thick including the molding, and the molding is a painted 1x5 board. Most of the pullup bars are for new factory built homes with thin walls and wouldn't work.It wiggles a bit until you install it on the doorway, then it's a rock. I like the space for my head to pass though, the doorways in my house are also shorter. It's also great for hanging cloths that need to dry!Only problem was the center screw threads on the bar wouldn't hold the bolt tight, but I was able to get it sung enough to work, and it's not a critical bolt point.

Great addition to my home gym. This pull up bar is very light but sturdy enough to hold my weight with ease, even when wearing a weight vest. The way the wide bar is designed to extend beyond the door frame allows for a full range of motion when doing pullups. Easy to assemble and remove as needed. Good value as well.

Item arrived it what could only be described as a repurposed box (re-taped) -- It was missing a single washer, but it wasn't a deal breaker.Took about 30 minutes to put together and setup instructions weren't particularly useful.Once built, I was a bit underwhelmed with the 'sturdiness' of the unit - and I would definitely call into question the 440 lbs weight limit claim--- but the unit would likely be 'adequate' for most "fitness" people looking to add to their home gym setup. To be fair, it universally fit all my door openings that I tested it on. The overall design is better than average with soft grips that most will appreciate.For what it is, I imagine it will work as advertised for most, but it's nothing fancy. The price point is a bit steep given the quality of the unit- and as others have reported, the package received made it clear this was a returned / recycled item.

I gave this Chin Up Bar as a gift for Christmas. They loved it. I was able to quickly assemble it in 20 minutes or so. When I installed it on the door, it did not cause any issues with the Wall Paint or Door Casing. I works really well. One of the users is 205 Lbs. and it did not faulter, it held his weight. The grips have a solid feel also. The Grandchildren love it ! Thank you for a great product !
