Router Sled review
This router sled is working awesome so far. I’ve been able to flatten 4 different wood slabs from my property and now making end tables with the wood. The brushes in front of rollers clean the area perfectly so that there no interruptions from wood chips. The product provides two different plastic guides, one for known brand routers, the other for non popular brand routers and I’m glad they did. Mounted the plastic guide to my router, worked perfectly.I recommend this product if you don’t want to build your sled, which I don’t have time or room for. This is so much more compact, easy to store.

Much Better that DIY version
I have used this sled a few times for our kitchen remodel. I am using curly maple for the cabinet doors. I was getting a lot of tear-out on my planer - so opted for the slab flattener option. The proof is in the results - the sled was the answer. These pictures show a small cabinet door - Planed to thickness on my planer - then took off 2 mm with the flattening sled to remove the tear out. Then sanded with my belt sander and RO sander to 120 grit. Very happy with the results. The sled is well built - it seems a bit expensive for what it is, but if you try to purchase all the components you will be spending just as much. So like any good tool - you get what you pay for.

The quality of this product is great, not flimsy or cheaply made!!!
I like the expansion of this tool to reach a wider plank of wood. It was used to smooth out and level out a live edge piece of black walnut for the base of our fireplace. We will be using it to do another piece that will be a floating shelf under the TV.

Ease of Use
The router sled is easy to use and helps provide a great smooth surface. We are utilizing the router sled to help make tables for a dining room as well as living room end tables. We would definitely purchase again.

Love this product!
Got this for my husband. He says, “Easy set up and very user friendly. I am extremely impressed with the design and quality. It took my chainsaw cut slabs from rough cut to tabletop quality.”

Good product
Easy to assemble, works as expected. Not the highest quality but good for the price. One issue is that screws come loose easily from the vibration so you have to make sure they are screwed in tightly

The hardware is wrong for this application
The designers did not take in to account that the vibration will loosened hardware during normal operation. I had to retrofit the supplied hardware with my own to ensure that parts would not loosen and fall off which happened several times flattening a silver maple. Silver Maple is considered a soft wood and the router bit I used was a fairly new 2" Whiteside and I only used half of it on each pass. I had to pick up various pieces of hardware off the floor after a few minutes of use. The above picture shows the modifications I made on the left unit using locktite, split washers, opposing nuts and rubber feet. The one on the right is the original version. The metal discs are supposed to attach to end of the bolt and the first things that will vibrate off. Also, there are some blind allen heads crucial for adjusting that are difficult to access. I replaced these with regular bolts of the same size. I did not feel this jig is safe with loose parts flying off with a 12,000 RPM bit.
