Impressive hardware, Excellent results, software needs work.
I have three cats and a busy schedule, and knew I’d eventually need a robot vacuum to help automate my cleaning. This Narwal vacuum has been a life saver for me, and technology is genuinely impressive. The Freo X Plus stood out for its hardware specs and price point. The suction power of this vacuum seems to be stronger than the competition, which results in near spotless floors. I’m very impressed with its ability to vacuum corners. The mop is budget level, but sufficient enough to mop light stains and remove dirt. After cleaning, the vacuum returns to its charging base where it conducts self cleaning. After it’s done, I’m informed to change the mop pad (Washable and reusable). I also refill the water when low and check to ensure the brushes are clean. The dust bin container is decent, Narwal claims 7 weeks before emptying, but if you have lots of pets, you will need to change it much sooner.A huge plus for pet owners is the never tangle brush, which actually works to prevent hair from tangling on the brush. This makes the Narwal much lower maintenance than other vacuums.Narwal made swapping parts user friendly which I really appreciate. The app gives tells the user the amount of uses left for the brushes, which are easily swappable. The main downside is the software, there is sometimes issues with mapping that take the Freo time to adjust properly (which means running more cleaning cycles and adjusting areas in mapping.) It is also not great at object avoidance, so be sure to clear your floors of objects before cleaning. Hopefully software updates can improve all this.Overall the app is well developed and includes lots of information about your robot and its cleaning tasks. There is a good amount of customization, such as adjusting the suction power and mop wetness, as well as a scheduler for daily automatic cleaning.I am concerned with the longevity of this vacuum since it is a lot of technology crammed together, but at the moment I am very satisfied with this robot. It cleans my house multiple times a day and it feels very fresh. I give the Freo X Plus a solid 4.5/5.0

Much more suction than others!
We've bought and seen the death of a number of the vacuum robots. With research we decided this would be our next purchase and hopefully outcast the others. It has and it's performance is way beyond the others. One of the best features is the roller brush that is designed to NOT get tangled up with string, hair, or the like. It does this very well. The suction is nice and strong, sucking up the dirt. We also bought the upright S10 vacuum mop to mop afterward. The Freo Plus has the mop pad feature, but it's not that effective for our situation as we live in the country and dirt and dog hair is more prevalent. The build is much more robust than our past purchases and having the app to get it busy and see its mapping is very convenient.Definitely recommend this company.

Amazing Vacuum, Horrible Support
I'm hard on my robot vacuums. My house is roughly 80% carpet and I have 2 cats, 2 kids, long haired ladies, and run my vacuum every day.I'm on my second Freo X Plus. First one starting getting constantly stuck out in the open. I was within the return period so I sent it back and tried a Roomba J7+ which pulled nothing out of the carpet, rammed all the furniture, and went right back.Next I tried a Dreame L10S which seemed to pull just as much dirt and fur out of my carpet as the Freo and had way better mopping thanks to the dual spinning mops. That one became unresponsive and the only recourse was to send it in but I choose to return it.Because the Narwal Freo X Plus does so well with suction, and the brush roll really doesn't get any hair wraps I decided to give it another go. The first few months went well until I started getting side brush errors recommending cleaning the brushes or replacing them. The robot would be out in the open on carpet or hard floors and just stop. Using the App or pressing the button would send it off cleaning until the next error. Cleaning and replacing the side brushes made no difference.I contacted Narwal support and they got right back to me and asked me to power cycle the vacuum which didn't help. They sent me a FedEx shipping label and told me to send it in for repair. English is obviously not their primary language so instructions were not very clear. After some back and forth they explained that I didn't have to send in the accessories or the charging station, just the vacuum itself. Since I always save my boxes and materials I packed it just like I received it. I even inserted that foam strip back inside the bumper.I didn't receive any updates after that but I did receive it back within about a week. The box was practically destroyed (probably the shippers fault) but I was surprised they didn't double box it. When I opened the box the vacuum was much dirtier than when I sent it. It was just tossed into the box without much care. None of the protective foam was reused. On closer inspection I noticed some screws were missing. Not a good sign. I had to set up the robot again like when it was new and let it charge up since it was near dead. When I started it's first session it made it maybe 3 feet and gave the side brush error. They are now happening every few seconds. In the off chance I can get it to run for a few minutes it gets stuck on thresholds it never had an issue with before.I e-mailed Wing, my support contact, and explained what was going on and he is not replying like before. I haven't heard anything at all and they clearly didn't repair my Freo and returned it in worse shape than before. If they sold the parts like Roomba and other manufacturers, I'd try repairing it myself, but they only sell filters, brushes, etc...I'll keep trying to contact them and report back here.
