I don't recommend for singing drummers .
This mic stand is just fine for holding a mic only. There are better quality stands out there, BUT FOR THE MONEY , this stand for the guitarist or singer, is just fine ! However , it does not take extra weight very well . I put a 4 inch gooseneck and a bit heavier mic on it . And with the boom extended , even though the boom arm was directly over the leg , it would not take the weight . Otherwise as good a stand as any . If it was a bit sturdier it would have gotten 5 stars. So I gave it 4 .

Pretty great mic stand for a lot of reasons
I hate buying mic stands because they are spendy and they wear out quickly at our venue when people just force them into place instead of loosening them. When I first opened this stand, I was a little unimpressed with some of the quality of the materials. The plastics do not feel super sturdy, for something that will live in the line of fire a lot, so I was concerned about it.After I assembled it, though, I really liked it. My favorite part is the multiple bars for the main lift of the stand. Being able to adjust those, or even remove one if needed, gives me a lot more versatility. The base is very sturdy, and the extra wire clips are a nice touch. The arm that extends the boom out is nice, and the tightening knobs are actually sturdier than I originally gave them credit. At this price point, the stand is definitely worth a look. The travel bag is great as well, for those looking for a good stand to take on the road that won't take up a ton of space.

A good budget mic stand
This collapses down into a pretty small carrying bag because the telescoping shaft is in three parts and the (optional) boom disconnects entirely from the shaft. Nice feature. I think if you take it apart and reassemble it a lot it will probably get wobblier, though, based on the way it's built.I can't seem to tighten the boom arm down in any way that makes it not swivel/wobble a bit; if I've got an SM58 on it then it's okay, but if I'm hanging a heavy mic (SM7B, blue yeti, or some other chunky ribbon mic) that I don't trust to survive a fall unharmed, the stand's going to be more stable if the boom is aimed over a leg and not between them (the product images explain this, though the mic stand itself comes with no instructions). If you can't make the boom not swivel, then nothing is really preventing a bump from moving it into a position where a fall is more likely. If you're installing this thing as a semi-permanent boom (i.e., for a podcast or streaming) then this isn't a big deal.If there's any chance this is getting bumped? I'd weigh the base down or even tape it to the floor.Having said that, it's an inexpensive and viable alternative to your typical battle-ready cast iron base stands that cost several times as much money, and when you're not using it it breaks down quickly and easily into a little bag that fits about anywhere.

Versatile and sturdy at a great price.
This mic stand came with no assembly instructions (instructions are available lower down within the Amazon listing) though none were really needed. However, some key items including how to insure stability (placing the boom arm parallel to either leg) would have been good to note within the package. That said, I found this to very stable and is really great for home use. The stand has good height, tilt and boom length adjustments enabling heights from about 25 to 85 inches. It packs small and comes with a carry bag but as I said I see this more for home usage so I personally might only use that for storage if ever. But, If you do, disassembly and re-assembly is quick and easy. This is a fairly versatile, very functional sturdy mic stand and, for the price point a great buy.
