Strong and nimble tripod for the price
This Ulanzi tripod is prefect for hiking or backpacking. It is small enough to even fit to the side of a lightweight hiking day pack. The build is strong and lightweight consider the materials used.I saw comments concerned about losing the quick release amounts plate. But Ulanzi do have that sold separately on Amazon, so I am not super concerned about that. I bought a Ulanzi quick release system a few years before, and it has been working great considering all the mud and sand that it was exposed to.I do own other travel tripod from K&F, but I found that one too large when folded. The design of the leg on this tripod folds nicely. It is a great tripod for the price!

Disappointed - Two Tripods Broke Quickly
I am extremely disappointed with this tripod. This is the second one I've purchased, and both have broken. The first one didn’t last long, but I figured it was a fluke and gave the brand another chance. Unfortunately, the second tripod broke after less than one use, which is incredibly frustrating. The build quality just doesn’t hold up, and for a product that's supposed to support expensive camera equipment, it’s unacceptable. I can't recommend this tripod at all—it’s unreliable, and I’m not risking my gear with it again. Save yourself the hassle and look for something sturdier.

Good quality
Seems very well made and sturdy. Nice and compact. Haven’t used the other brand one but can’t imagine spending that much on a tripod.

Nice, just not "REALLY" nice
I honestly must be a cheap skate because I do not feel you should have to spend $300 for a nice tripod that you use as a day hiking hobbyist. This Ulanzi TT07 Ombra came to me through the YouTubes of course. I had been watching "affordable" light weight tripod videos for weeks before I took the plunge and ordered this one. The two selling factors for me that pushed me toward this one were the "Claw" quick release, and the weight. After using it for a few weeks, I can give some opinions now.I paid ~$70 for it.It "looks" really beautiful in person, isn't very heavy, and seems "solid" enough for the hobbyist user (that's me). After tinkering with it for a minute, I absolutly dispize the built in cell phone bracket. You cannot remove it, and it is a pain in the keester when you are manipulating the tripod (I am about to hack saw it off). The bottom leg of the 4 extension is frighteningly fragile looking. I "think" that will probably be the first thing I break on this thing. They are itty-bitty.The information on the tripod is very "jibberish" and mentioned a LOT of "one hand" stuff. The only thing you can do one handed with this guy is hold it. The legs are typical "lever" release legs, so two hands, the head needs to be raised up a few inches to allow it to tilt side to to side, and that requires a lever (knobs are better for this, but it is robust feeling and works). The "Claw" system is a one hand release (two fingers), but the best part, is you can just "snap" your camera back down and it'll lock on (really lock, if you slide the red button to the side).I REALLY wish they would make an affordable backpack strap mount for robust cameras using the Claw system because it would be perfect (have to figure out a one finger unlock for it though).I knocked it down to 4 stars because I feel that it may not be the best ~$70 light weight tripod on the market in Amazon. It is very good if you can handle the one off latching system called "Claw". It is good, but it doesn't play nice with others. They need a better adapter so we do not have to swap out all of our traditional tripod mounts.Would recommend with caveats.

Broke on first outing
I have been a big fan of this system. I own many quick release pieces by Ulanzi. This tripod was a serious disappointment. The springs came out of the tripod while on my first outing. I had the tripod for a while and was waiting for the weather to cooperate. When it finally did, I was so excited to take this out. When the springs came out it made the entire tripod useless. You cannot just replace the quick connector. I really wanted to love this but it has made me rethink using this brand.

My favorite tripod to date!
I do content-creating, and I end up having to record in places that are less than ideal for setting up a tripod. We took this on a mountain top on a windy day, and it worked like a champ. Didn't have any issues with tipping or swaying.Best part is how lightweight the tripod is. Nobody wants to lug around a bulky, heavy tripod while hiking around for a good filming spot. I make sure to have this bad boy with me at all times.

Light and travel size
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a light weight and travel size tripod that I could put on the side of my backpack and this one definitely covers all those things I needed. I use it with my Sony A7IV which I have in a cage, side handle and a top handle and the tripod can take the weight of it. But if I were to add more accesories to my camera and use this tripod, I don't know if it can take more than what I just described.
