Good olives.
Nice big bag of tasty olives. Perfect color, a little salty but delicious. Tasted fresh, a little chewy, green olives are not as tender as black. seal was unbroken.

Bad batch &/or source of olives
These were horrible & quite possibly toxic. If I could rate this a zero, I would. They arrived crushed & much smaller than what was advertised in terms of the species of olive. It tasted like the olives were brined in the rock salt used to clear the highways during the winter months. The texture was a combination of rubbery & like a waterlogged pool noodle. The color was accurate. This might be "fresh" if someone was trying to buy a quart of motor oil, but certainly not food quality olives. These don't taste like they come from Italy. These are similar to a slipshod Costco, or more accurately Sam's Club supplier of an olive oil blend that likely originated from Tunisia in 2021, or 2022. Wherever it originated, the source is not good. The product with the olive pits still intact were far superior. It might either be a problem with the labor handling the pitting & brining process, or the manufacturing/delivery (like someone punching a hole in the bag & resealing the top of it with a crimping iron to contaminate the product. Not worth a fraction of one red cent. Find people who actually like the food they're preparing & enjoy delivering nourishment to others, or aren't so stoned that they can't taste the difference in quality.

Freshest olives a available.
Excellent product. Completely different experience than any other olive I've tried here in the states. Will definitely purchase again and again.

Good, but a bit too salty
I am a big fan of Castelvetrano olives. They're my very favorite olive of all the olives I've eaten. I've been trying to find a good source for them, at a reasonable price, that also taste good and aren't mushy. Or, aren't in a large can, shipped loose in a box, thus arriving so dented that they're unsafe to eat and have to go in the trash. These olives meet every one of my criteria, except one. They are on the salty side, which takes away from the buttery taste, so I needed to water down the brine by about half, to help remove some of the salt. Doing that has made a good bit of difference; they're now an edible olive. They're mostly firm, unlike another brand I bought which had a lot of inedible, mushy olives in the mix. They're a medium size as opposed to large, but that's not a deal breaker. Having said that, they aren't the absolute best Castelvetranos I've ever had, but they are a decent brand. I'm still looking for big, firm buttery Castelvetranos in a bulk pack, but these will do if I can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

Salty & broken. Not worth the money
I concur with other reviewers, these olives are very salty and even with rinsing them with water, it isn't enough to offset the salt. Additionally, these came in the vacuum sealed bag as advertised, but they folded it, then bubble wrapped it tightly and stuffed it into a box, that box was then put in a box to ship. While all that sounds like it was to protect them, it had the opposite effect in that it crushed and broke many of the olives. In comparing these with the Roland can of olives, they are slightly cheaper, but the quality of the olives is greatly lesser. Roland's are bigger, firmer, much less salty and seldom broken or crushed. The flavor of the Roland brand is far superior and I will be going back to ordering only them.

great value
I don't know about you, but I find these olives super expensive in jars. Save your jars and refill with these. They are so good for you and the price is amazing.

A bit salty/not a buttery flavor
Although these olives are tasty, albeit a bit salty, they don't seem to have that buttery flavor of other brands of Castlevetrano olives I've had.

Couldn't eat them!!
These were the worst olives I have ever had. I normally Love this kind of olive - but not these. I actually threw them out. I couldn't even swallow them. The brine was terrible the olives were mushy. This type of olive usually has a firm texture and a smooth and great flavor. The brine made the olives taste sour and it also smelled bad. I rinsed and soaked the olives in cold water over three days, changing the water every hour or two during the day. That didn't work! That's when I decided to throw them out.
