Was going on a long trip and needed the extra space on top of the car to pack a roof carrier. My last car had the racks but for some reason my 2018 Mazda Cx-5 did not come with them. Talked to the dealer who wanted to charge close to $1,000 to put on the rack and cross bar. Searched the web and this seemed like the best buy for the combined items, which was an advantage to not have to mix and match purchases. There were no reviews yet but I was willing to try or the price and convenience of receiving quickly from Amazon. We were not disappointed. These are high quality pieces that were easy to put on the car. A few things. There were limited, poorly written directions so we went online and found a youtube video to help. The screws are very small and we did not have a magnetized electric screwdriver, so there was some frustration with trying to get the screws in right. If you have the right tools, this woule be a very quick install. As it was, it only took us about an hour to install -- quick, easy, and works perfectly. Highly recommend.

The instructions are OK, but a search of YouTube found a couple of good explanations. I installed the rails with little problem, but starting the screws is very tedious. It's easier if you place the screws with needle nose pliers or tweezers, then thread them in with the supplied torx driver.Unfortunately, my package arrived without the necessary screws and rubber gaskets needed to install the crossbars, but the supplier was very responsive and the missing parts were delivered from China in 2 days.Again the screws on the crossbar are a little tedious to install. Make sure you assemble the crossbars and position them first before tightening and screws.I have one minor complaint: I wish the screw heads had been painted. My rails and crossbars are black and the silver screw heads are noticeable.

I especially liked the black shiny finish of the side rails. It perfectly matched the black paint trim of the car. The crossbars have a matte finish and anre aerodynamically designed. It took me 20 minutes put on the side rails and about an hour and a half altogether. There’s not a lot of bolts but some of them are in tricky places and if you have an extension for a Torx bit, it will save you some time. Overall I’m very pleased as it looks like it was OEM parts from the original maker.

Side rails were very easy to install. Just follow instructions or watch a youtube installation video first. Cross bars are a bit snug, which is good. You may have to place them forward and then nudge them into place. The only negative is the screws that hold the cross bars in place. They are difficult to reach and work with without a flexible adapter. I did it, but it too as long to do the screws as the entire rest of the install. I suggest you get the correct size hex bit, and a flexible adapter for screw driver to speed things up considerably.
