Great book
This book is excellent, sadly it is an American book with American diet, but I have found it the best book so far.

Excellent suggestions - no recipes
As someone with Histamine Intolerance who is navigating a period ahead of having to be super careful with diet I bought this book for inspiration. Knowing what foods I can eat safely is useful, and when the options seem so limited (I can’t eat dairy, egg or non-glutenous grains at the moment in addition to the normal high histamine foods) having something to turn to is invaluable. There are good descriptions of the condition and how to support the body. The Meal Plan is comprehensive (but to my mind relies over heavily on gluten-free substitutes which are often over processed and hard to digest), however there are NO recipes! It’s all very well suggesting eat Apple Cobbler made with permitted ingredients, but it means I now have to go elsewhere to try and find a recipe that is suitable for someone histamine intolerant. I’m really disappointed as it would not have been difficult to have taken the book a step further and provided basic recipes. If there is a re-release I would strongly urge the inclusion of some signposting links at the very least.

Well explained, but recipes a bit high brow
I really liked the first part of the book. It explained H I T well and came up with lots of good ideas. The recipe section was nice to have some good ideas of things that you could do. However most of the recipes were on the fancy side and definitely not cheap. Some of them would take a lot of preparation time. Nonetheless, I'm sure they would be delicious, so this recipe selection would suit some, and it's probably a matter of choice. Lots of room to adjust to your particular taste.

A google search would give you a better meal plan than this!
A very short book with very bland recipes and lots of spelling mistakes and typos. The intro is good but pretty much looks lifted from google. The meal plan itself is mediocre and very uninspiring for someone new to the mcas diet. It also doesn’t contain any reference to how much fat/protein/calories are in each days meal plan, which is something that’s useful for a lot of people.I would categorically say you could find better recipes and a better meal plan on a free google search: don’t waste your money on this book (though it’s really more of a tiny little pamphlet)

Very slim book
This is a very slim book, was expecting much more information for the price. Is very very light on content.

Quick information at hand
I liked how concise the book was, cutting the chase and not leaving much pointless narrative. It felt informative rather than anecdotal.I also liked the section on long term effects of high histamine levels, something I hadn't thought about. What I didn't like is ironically that it was too short, perhaps the author will add some more material and references in the future.

Offers some sound advice and information but no recipes.
Offers some good basic information and advice on histamine intolerance. But I didn't find the 6 week meal plan very helpful. No recipes just food suggestions.
