This is the kettle I was looking for that has no plastic exposed to the water or steam inside.
Our previous electric kettle needed to be replaced, and we wanted to get one that does not have any plastic being exposed to the water and steam inside the kettle. We tried a couple out that we though did not have plastic inside, but unfortunately they did. And, pretty much all of them that we have seen online also have what looks like a silicone ring internal around the bottom where the glass meets the bottom heating element plate. This kettle is the only one that I could find that does not have any plastic exposed to the water and steam inside. It is made from double wall stainless steel, and there are level marker on the inside of the kettle. Our previous kettle was 1200 watts, and this one is 1500watts. I do recognize that the water heats up faster with this kettle.I also did a lead swab test on the inside of the kettle and can confirm that there are no traces of lead in the kettle metal. If you are looking for a great kettle that does not have plastic exposed to the inside water and steam, look no further, this is the one.

Docks with its base very easily
Sturdy. Comfortable handle. Hinged lid has two positions for open, halfway with the button press, or all the way with gentle lift. (Not really sure why you would use the halfway if all you do is boil water for your teabags.)

Good but can be better
I've had this kettle for about 15 days and used it multiple times a day. I was looking for a kettle in which the only material hot water touches is stainless steel. This model meets that need. First, let me address a few concerns other reviewers posted. 1) The kettle is loud. Yes, it's not the quietest. And it is louder than my last one. But the extra noise didn't bother me. 2) The lid only opens partially after pressing the open button. I actually appreciate this design. I've used kettles whose lid springs open all the way splashing boiling water that accumulated on the underside of the lid. But this feature seems to drive some users insane. 3) Lack of controls other than the on/off switch. I had kettles that offered a dizzying number of settings. After the novelty wore off, I pretty much just used 1 setting. So, having just an on/off switch is fine with me. 4) It stains easily. This seems to be true. After just 15 days of use, I can already see a stain mark beginning to form. I only boiled filtered water in this kettle. So, this does bother me a little. But again, I've seen people posting pictures of their $200 kettle that also stains. So, at this price point, it's acceptable. Plus, I'm sure this also depends on the local water quality. 5) One reviewer finds the circular hole on the inside wall of the kettle "suspicious". Since my requirement was to have hot water touching nothing but stainless steel, I grew suspicious as well. But, this hole is covered by the contour of the lid when closed. So, it didn't bother me too much. Now, on to some of my own observations. 1) The advertisement says the outer body of the kettle is cool to the touch while the water inside is hot. This is only partially true. The area immediately below the lid (1-2in below) is very hot. 2) the water does not pour from the sprout neatly. If I tilt the kettle just a little too much, water can spill from the sides of the sprout. I believe the designer sacrificed functionality for a clean industrial design. I've had kettles that still poured nicely when the kettle is in an almost upside down position. 3) In my opinion, too much vapor/water droplets accumulate while water boils. This makes the top of the lid very wet, and as some reviewer noted, contributing to water damage over time. And lastly, 4) the power cord is too short.

Works well and good customer service
I bought this kettle because I wanted to stop using the plastic electric kettle that I had. The only plastic on this model is on the outer lid, handle, and separate base. When I first received it, I noticed there are two holes inside the kettle - one near the handle and one on the lid. I was worried that condensation could get inside these holes and cause mold growth. I wrote the company and they said that the holes are to relieve pressure. I make sure to keep the lid open to dry out between uses and I haven’t noticed any issues yet. After pouring, one single drop of water would drip from the spout, but as my last kettle had an issue with spilling unless pouring verrrrrry slowly, this wasn’t a big issue for me.I had an issue with scale forming immediately after the first use. Customer service was very helpful with cleaning tips, but nothing worked so they sent a warranty replacement. I didn’t realize, until after I got the replacement, that there was a slight dent in the spout of the original kettle that was causing the drop of water. The new kettle doesn’t drip at all and I'm very happy with it.

Stainless steel—no plastic
This teapot is all stainless steel (except for the handle), which is the main reason I purchased it. There is no plastic on the inside. It’s also cool to the touch after heating the water. I especially like the automatic shut-off. I wish it was a little smaller, but I definitely like the teapot.

Good teakettle for the money.
This is a good electric kettle for the money. However, we had a Breville that gave up after many years and we really miss it. We didn't want to spend the money (over $200) but now I kind of wish we had. This teakettle is really loud when boiling water and in our one room all conversation has to stop. Plus the spout is too small and you have to pour slowly or water goes everywhere. Small things really but it's the little things in life that make it good.
