Best addition to tie shoes. I have them on my golf shoes and Hoka sneakers. On and off is so much easier. I needed to put a drop of Super Glue on the knot inside the connection device to keep them from becoming untied.

A couple years ago I purchased a pair of dress slip-ons. I was skeptical because I thought that they'd be loose and uncomfortable over time. As I became accustomed to them, I found that they remained comfortable, didn't slip off like I thought they would, and they looked sleek and saved time getting ready in the mornings. Eventually however things wear out and I found another pair of shoes that I liked. The problem was that they had laces. I wasn't convinced that these elastic laces would work as well as designed slip-ons but thought I'd give them a try. To my surprise my new laced dress shoes are now slip-ons. I tried several ways of running the elastic laces through the existing lace holes until I found a way that I felt looks classy. I ended up reverse lacing them so the metal clasp is at the bottom middle of the tongue. It looks sweet as hell to the point that I've gotten compliments on my shoes when sitting in waiting rooms. I purchased one black set and one brown set. The laces are the same diameter and color as my original dress laces; you can't tell the difference aside from being able to slip my shoes off and on without tying. I've only had them for a month or so so I don't know what the elastic's life span will be but I'm very happy with these so far. They also come with two sets of clasps so I can change them out if the current ones get tarnished and there's enough lace in the package to replace the laces two or three times.8/4/22 Update: The laces are still looking good and working fine. The elastic is holding up and I haven’t had to replace them. The clasps still look new also. I buff and clean my shoes occasionally as needed to keep them looking nice so that probably helps. :)

My big guy has sensory issues and HATES shoes that he has to tie. For years, he has loved his go-to slip on sneakers but now that he is transitioning to the top of little kid sizes and into big kid sizes, it is getting much harder to find shoes with the elastic laces and not ties. I kept trying to buy new slip one with no success. Finally it dawned on me to try changing the laces when I tried to buy him the next size up. Genius. These work so well! I bought the laces before the shoes, but these do come in a bunch of colors so you can match them accordingly. After a few tries, I got these to the perfect place where he can just slide them on for comfort, but they don’t fall off when he has gym. They can be unscrewed at the top if you put them through the little flap on the tongue, but then your big guy decides he hates the way that feels so you need to take it out of the little tongue flap. I would have saved myself so much time had I just started with these! Comes with enough pieces for two pairs of shoes, and a spare lace in case you mess up the first time. I’ll be buying a lot more of these in the future.

Like the way these look & how it makes taking shoes on & off much easier. Would be nice to find a design that gives more secure (tight enough) feeling when feet aren't swollen yet not too tight when they are swollen. If fit when feet are swollen feel my feet aren't secure when normal.
