Good quality, but long
This stem allowed me to shorten the distance to the handlebars on an old Giant mountain bike. I wish I had done this sooner! You do need to remove one grip and shifter in order to slide the handlebar in from the side. You cannot access the clamp from the front as with a modern stem. It tightens rock solid.The only downside is that the stem is quite long. I ended up removing the bottom piece and cutting the stem tube about 1.5 inches shorter at the same angle, which worked well. This is a two piece design, with the top clamp being aluminum or similar and the tubing being steel.

Bought this to raise handlebars and bring them closer to me on the bike. Quick delivery, excellent quality, and excellent finish on the stem. Even comes with a little rubber plug to cover the bolt head. Worked so well I bought another one for a second bike.
