King Oscar mackerel is outstanding! The fish is skinless, boneless, and packed in quality olive oil, making it both flavorful and convenient. I love that it’s wild-caught and sustainably sourced, and the texture is tender without being mushy. Perfect for salads, sandwiches, or eating straight from the can. The 12-pack is a great value, and the quality is consistently excellent. This has quickly become a pantry staple for me!

Let me start by saying that I generally hate the taste of fish. Eating this only for the supposed benefits of the omega 3s. Apparently, mackerel is the highest or close to the highest source. I’ve tried about 8 brands of mackerel. Between this and the Wild Planet Wild Mackerel, you can’t go wrong. The smell is pretty tolerable and the Mediterranean flavor is actually really enjoyable - definitely the difference maker. The price is also great. I will throw all my other brands besides this (Mediterranean version only, the other flavors are not that good) and the Wild Planet Wild Mackerel, which is also great of you want just a plain, clean and not very fishy one.

This is the most flavorful canned fish I’ve ever had. The full flavor comes out when warmed or cooked, and it’s delicious. It’s not fishy, and it’s packed full of fish, with just a little oil and juice. I enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Tastes good, lots of good protein. Olive oil is a bit watered down but the fish is tasty. Had no bones or skin. Package was totally fine and to me decent price and value. Quality seems good, wild caught so that’s the best thing. No leak out of the can. I love this fish which has lots of omega 3!

I was told by my doctor to incorporate fatty fish in my diet for heart and brain health. I loved tuna growing up, but for some reason other tinned fish like sardines, mackerel, and herring were met with a general attitude of disgust and revulsion. Not only is this Mackerel far less fishy than tuna, it is mouthwateringly juicy and tender. The flavor is excellent and lends itself well to additions like escabeche, olives, onions, and capers. When I first ate it, I tasted it straight out of the can and compulsively downed the whole thing within minutes.I became a complete fish eating monster. When I came to my senses with the juices running down my face all I could think to myself was how good it was and how those little fish never stood a chance. I'd gladly jump into the ocean harpoon and net ready just for the chance to eat it again. Thankfully, King Oscar has made such dangerous measures unnecessary.
