Replaced Check Valve on Pool Pump Piping
Works great as long as this valve is installed vertical and with upward direction of water flow. No internal metal parts to corrode, double union allows easy maintenance access. Check has a simple design that relies on positive flow to lift plug and gravity to re-seat plug when off.Old check failed due to internal metal parts that corroded and was not repairable.

Works but misleading advertisement
This valve works really well for my sprinkler system pump. My previous check valve cracked in a freeze, this one will allow me to remove the valve and fully drain it for the winter season (Texas). My only complaint is that the item description says that it is spring loaded, but it is not. It has a half-ball that is gravity closed. This made me change my plan from installing horizontally, to vertically. Maybe it would have still worked horizontally, but I didn’t want to experiment. Not a terrible plan change, just an inconvenience.

Very solid, very basic
Big thing to know is this will only work in a vertical or sloping setup. That said it's simple, comes with spare o-ring and gasket, built very solid and worked perfectly in my application.

Will alow backwards flow
Serious garbage do not buy as this check valve will not prevent back flow, I just received it and I can run water through it in both directions, the ball will not back seat until there is a high volume of flow.

Looks Great
Update: A year later and it still works good. I can hear it close when I shut the pump off.Previous: Bought this to try on my aquarium so I will have to update on durability later. I like that it came with extra parts for the seals and that it doesnt have a spring. Also glad they have a parts diagram I can come back to for reference.

Excellent option on vertical runs
The Boltigen PVC True Union Check Valve was requested to be utilized in a system of stored H20 & hydroponic farming. The valve body is solid, being Sched 80 rated, and manufacturer provides an additional O-ring & seat rubber. Excellent fitment of all parts makes the valve a winner!
