Contura - Triple Roll Dispenser for foil, cling film and paper towel.

This dispenser actually does exactly what it claims! It looks good because of the quality of the materials and components used in the manufacture. Unlike some other dispensers, it is easy to insert the foil and cling film rolls into the correct compartments because the slots are wide enough and the cling film and foil can be held securely in place by pressing the edges onto the front of the dispenser. The cutting is accurate in both directions without any problems. The kitchen towel holder fits even the jumbo sized rolls with ease due to the sturdy and easily adjusted mechanisms at both ends. This is a much sturdier and better designed product than my previous Leifheit dispenser which used quite flimsy plastic to secure the paper towel roll in place. I'm very pleased with the design, appearance, performance and value for money of this product and would definitely recommend it.

This is a good product but I am unable to cut cling film on it - it just creases up instead of cutting. No problems with the foil which cuts easily. This takes 300mm (12") rolls although the paper towel fitting is adjustable and will take bigger sizes. I note that one reviewer has said 'once they mastered the technique of cutting cling film' so perhaps I just need to practise it in different ways.

Originally purchased the plastic Leifheit 25703 Parat model as it had lots of positive reviews, but mine was useless (didn't cut, the end of the rolls kept disappearing, threading the rolls was tedious, and the opening mechanism was ridiculously awkward). I then found this Contura model. Although very expensive, it is working exactly as I hoped. Being stainless steel, the remaining end of the clingfilm sticks to it once cut and stays in place so it's there when the next piece is needed. The replacement of rolls is easy - the unit opens with one button, and threading the end through the slots is straightforward. The cutting works smoothly and reliably so far. Being made of stainless steel, the Contura is heavy once the rolls are in place, so if you want to mount it on the back of a door (which I did), it requires a very strong door. I'm so happy to have made the investment and hoping this will perform for years.

Well made wall mounted holder for cling film, foil and kitchen towel, it neatly stores all the individual rolls ready for use.Cuts down on wastage as the sliding cutters cleanly trim the foil and cling film to the required length leaving a small piece exposed ready to be pulled out for the next time.Been using the dispenser for a few weeks now, and found it works perfectly, a new piece of paper, cling film or foil is ready to be dispensed without the mangled ends caused by just pulling the stuff off the roll.Please note that this dispenser only takes 300mm wide rolls of foil and cling film, just be careful which size you buy to put inside.

As an idea it is perfect, the kitchen roll part is fine and it works well.However, when I came to fill it with my rolls of kitchen foil and cling film, I found them too long to fit in.The slots are nowhere near wide enough lengthways, luckily I was almost at the end of my foil and when I bought a new pack I made sure that it was a short width pack.Adding my cling film to it was another matter entirely as I hadn't long started it, so the roll is pretty full and far too thick to try and chop a couple of inches from the length...I'd probably need to use an industrial saw! lolI don't know how long it will be until I'm ready to replace that one, so I can't fully use this item.The best part of it is, that it does look good on the wall and at last I could get rid of the hated wooden kitchen roll holder.If I could have used it properly to begin with I would have given it 5* instead of only 3.

Very disappointing! Lovely gadget, perfect for our needs except.... the width of the cling film slot! It won't take a standard 30 cm roll. And now I just can't find any film smaller than this, so the cling film part is useless. And that was the most useful part of the machine as it makes using cling film so easy.Very neat... just needs to be made the right size for the job.

Our original dispenser, which we had for around 20 years, finally succumbed to age and one of the cutters broke. We replaced it with a slightly less expensive dispense and what a mistake that was. It was flimsy and feeding the foil and cling-film into it was a nightmare.The Contura is night and day better in every way! Sturdy build with quality materials. Easy to load the foil and cling film and the cutters are robust and cut cleanly without huge effort. If only we'd seen it sooner it would have saved a lot of frustration and waster cling-film!CAn't recommend it highly enough. Great value for a quality product.

Quite a bit more flimsy than expected, a piece of plastic was protruding from under one of the cutting blade handles. (It seems its purpose was to keep pressure on the cutter handle) I tried to relocate it in position but it just came loose so I easily removed it. The cutter still works but less friction as it moves across while cutting. Otherwise, it has been installed and looks passable. It’s just about functional but well down on the standard I expected having read the sales blurb.
