Q: Does the tap move from side to side or is it fixed?

The curved top moves (push it to either side) to direct the flow around the sink. The taps rotate normally and the base is fixed to the sink.

Yes I believe it does as diameter of the brass cylinder is 31mm. Going by my worktop where I put the tap it is covering a 40mm hole
