AG Care Mousse Gel Extra-Firm Curl Retention, 10 Fl Oz

This is the BEST product I’ve ever used for my curls. No joke.The combination of a gel and a mousse- not too sticky, still airy and light but a great hold , shiny and frizz free. So impressed with the results!

Idk if it was my haircut, the fact it was winter or maybe the formula of my old favs changed, but I hadn't had a good hair day in months!! Even my 1st day hair sucked. It was depressing. I tried this yesterday and not only was I extremely happy with my 1st day hair, I didn't even have to refresh today! For reference, I have low density, course hair with a 3a/3b curl pattern and used this as a solo styler. No leave-in, just deep conditioned hair, brushed styled with the Bounce Curl volume brush( which i also highly recommend) and diffused.

When I first started my curly girl journey, this was my go to and still is today. I love how there is just a little crunch afterwards and I’m left with shiny, soft and bouncy curls. There is a soft scent to it, but it doesn’t stick around on your hair. I have fine, thin hair and it works really well!

This product is too harsh and drying for my wavy hair. When I used a ton, I got good waves, but my hair was still frizzy and I had to use my hair oil to rehydrate. My hair looked great the next day after I brushed it out and applied a ton of hair oil...

Great volume and fantastic hold!It's not sticky like most mousse. I'll be repurchasing!

I'm giving this 3 stars because it does work and makes my hair curly, but the lower score because this stuff smells bad. It smells just like the stuff they put in your hair when you're doing a perm. Its very chemically smelling and its overwhelming. I love other products from this brand, but this was a total miss for me, I can't. I even tried other smelly products to try and mask this one, but it is to strong of a smell.

Recommended to me by a NYC stylist ! Love it it’s the best hair moose/gel I’ve ever tried. I have thinner lightweight, curly/wavy hair. And I find that this really gives my curls lots of volume and life. My hair was so flat and comparison to how it looks now with this product. It’s not drying at all either like these most products are. And NO CRUNCHY CURLS! The ingredients are clean and I have not experienced any issues. I have also used it on my hair when it was a bleached honey blonde. And now, it is quite bleached, and brightly colored blue and purple and I haven’t had any issues with that!! can’t recommend enough! GET IT NOWI included a before and after product and you can see how flat my hair was!

I never leave a review but since this product can not be returned I want to warn buyers. This left my hair frizzy, dry and tangled. My hair does not look like this. I don’t know what formula they are using but it seemed to have sucked the life out of my hair. Amazon should be ashamed of allowing people to sell products that have altered formulas with the same brand name. If the formula is changed it should be called something else. This is giving AG a bad name as their products are usually good. This is the second AG product I buy that is not the same formula as the bottles I originally had. I will not be buying anything for my skin or hair from Amazon. I will be going straight to the source.
