Fun for kids 😄
I bought these birdhouses to do a fun weekend project with my kids, and they were a huge hit! The build quality is solid—well-cut pieces that fit together easily. It made assembly simple and frustration-free, even for younger kids. The real fun came with painting them! The wood took paint really well, and the kids had a blast decorating their own birdhouses with bright colors and designs.

Good kid project
Solid gift or project for 9-12 year olds. The screws were a little tough for my 8 year old to tighten down, but nothing that wasn’t fixed by me going back through and snugging everything up.

While the age advice says 3, no way can a child under 10 do this without adult help. Aligning holes to screw things together in multiple places took help. Once done, painting was easy. Need to spray coat clear before we can hang outside to protect them!

Wrong size screws
The wood was very nicely cut and the holes were accurately placed. Nice design. It would have been a good, easy project for my 4.5 y/o son to do on his own except that either the screw holes were too deep or the screws were too short. They did not securely hold the house together (a few of them could lift right out) and we had to resort to using super glue in combination with the screws. Because of this my son lost interest pretty quickly as he had wanted to put it together on his own. There is no way it would have hung for any quality length of time without falling apart otherwise. We were also missing 2 screws. I will be ordering a different DIY birdhouse for my son to do on his own.

Perfect DIY Birdhouse – Sturdy, Easy to Assemble, and Toddler-Approved!
This birdhouse is fantastic! Assembly was a breeze—everything lined up perfectly, and it took me only about five minutes to put together. It’s super sturdy and well-designed. My toddler had a blast painting it, and it now hangs beautifully in our yard, where she loves watching the birds. The little front cubby is perfect for holding birdseed. Highly recommend!

Nice DYI project for young kids to do with family. Keeps them engaged with each other, and off their phones for an afternoon.
