Had this for 2.. EDIT: 3 years and still works great!
Over the past two ... EDIT: three... years, this lamp post has been through seasons of remarkably cold and hot weather, rain, snow, ice, and wind. It still comes on faithfully at dusk and turns off at sunrise.I filled the pot nearly to the top with pea gravel and the lamp post hasn't budged, even in 60+ mph winds. I placed edging pavers around the base to keep the weed-wacker from damaging the pot. I attached a nice house number sign to the post with zip ties which gives it an added appeal. I'm extremely pleased with this product. It is well constructed, durable, and looks nice. I would recommend to anyone who wants something like this.UPDATE: Changed the AA rechargeable batteries after 2 years because the light became dim. Also cleaned the glass panels. Still works like new! Bright and reliable. This is a very solid purchase.

Great light from a responsive manufacturer
These lights are great and the manufacturer’s customer service is fantastic. Let me explain. I bought a pair of these lights a year ago and was able to install them on my brick walkway posts that get direct sunlight most of the day. They are nice and bright and generally stay light until dawn especially when getting a full day of sun. Not long ago one of the lights went out and I found that two of the three rechargeable batteries had failed and swelled making them impossible to replace. Since the light was still under warranty, I contacted the manufacturer to describe my problem. They got back to me within two days. After sending them the Amazon order number and a photo of the damaged battery covers, they authorized a replacement light to be delivered. I received it even faster than expected. I highly recommend these lights to anyone looking for a great looking solar powered light from a reliable manufacturer.

Good choice
I'm glad I chose this light from the many, many options that were available. The light is very sturdy, made of metal and glass, and does not feel cheap at all. Other things I like about it:comes with a mounting base in case you don't want to pole mount itmounting base is appropriately sized to add a classy look as well as a stable platformuses led highly efficient led lights - they throw a lot of light without killing the batteriescannot tell it is an led light - looks traditional4 solar panels to provide a good chargeMost people want to know how bright it is. I have it mounted on the corner of my retaining wall for the purpose of illuminating the 4 stairs from the driveway to the front walk. This does a fine job at that. I would describe the output to be like a typical porch light with a 40-60 watt bulb. It won't blind you or lightup your whole yard but it gives plenty of light.Update: I ordered 2 of these lights in 2 separate orders. The 2nd one came with a defective battery. Fortunately I did not just stick it out in the sun for 24 hours before using, as recommended by the instructions. I removed the batteries and put them in my Litecore intelligent charger. One failed to ever take a charge and shows as 0 on my battery tester. If I had just let the sun do its thing without using my charger I would've never known one of the 3 batteries is dead - I would've just wondered why one of my lights was not as good as the other. Obviously, I replaced the defective one with a spare I had. Now I let them charge by sunlight, as designed.

So far, so good!
I've had this light fixture for about 6 months now and I'm really liking it! It was simple to install and very simple to understand how to use it. It's solid and looks really nice. The only down side is that it is not very bright. It's fine for our use at the end of our driveway, and it definitely puts off a nice amount of light, but if you were looking for it to actually light a path or something, it might not be enough. But I am really pleased with it and it was a good solution for us where we didn't want to run a wire all the way down our driveway.

Quality solar option
***UPDATE - 1 year in on this product and it still works the same as new. I have been pleased with it's overall performance. Definetely worth the 99 bucks. The only negative I have seen is the paint fades, its an off black/gray now. Of course that is expected since it sits in the sunlight all day. Very easy to repaint so not an issue.----------------------------------------------I had an old mercury vapor yard lamp that I wanted to replace but kept being drawn to solar options since the location has sun all day. Why pay for electricity if there is a good solar option? I did a ton of research, considered converting my current lamp to solar with panels, etc., but ended up finding this product. I like the look and it had decent reviews, so I figured for $99 why not give it a shot. The replacement of the old unit was a breeze, all I had to do was shut off the power and properly cap the wires and this lamp fit perfectly on the 3" pole. So far its performance has been great. It's automatic turning on at dusk, and stays bright through most of the night. It dims in brightness pre-dawn as it looses energy. The light will never be as bright as a powerful LED or other powered options but honestly I didn't want a blinding light anyway. It has plenty of power to light up our driveway and front of the house. It also has an off switch which is perfect for my family if we want to look at stars with the kids. The real measure on solar lights is longevity and how long this lasts, and only time will tell there. You can easily replace the batteries the solar panels charge, so if they die that is no problem. If this thing lasts 5+ years then it is a bargain!
