Sunlu pla meta is my new favorite filament for every day use. It has superior printing performance, giving my prints a clean look and minimizes the appearance of layer lines. It is super strong and not brittle at all, which is a problem I have with some brands. The colors are amazing and natural looking and not overly shiny. I have never had issues with bed adhesion or prints failing because of the filament. Overall this filament is a great value and it is my go to filament for most of the items I print.

Picked up two rolls of SUNLU filament — Matte Olive Green and Cream White — and I’m happy to say both print great. No clogs, no dirty spots, just solid consistent results on both colors. The finishes look awesome too — the green has a clean, subtle matte look and the cream white comes out looking smooth and sharp.Now, here’s the weird part. Both rolls showed up looking like they’d been partially unwound and rewrapped by hand. About 30 feet of each spool was kind of loose and definitely not the tight, machine-wound look I’m used to seeing from SUNLU. No idea if it was a slip during packaging or if something got cut and spun out, but it stood out.Thankfully, once I got past the loose part, everything printed just fine. No quality issues, no under-extrusion, nothing.And for the price? $18 for the green and $15 for the cream white, that’s a killer deal for filament that performs this well.

I would not recommend purchasing Sunlu's PLA Meta The quality is extremely variable. My first order of PLA Meta was amazing so I bought 3 more rolls, which was a mistake. These newer (or perhaps older?) rolls are unusable - it is so hygroscopic that if I do not remove it from my printer immediately after printing it will break into multiple pieces inside the feed tube. It doesn't matter if I dry it for 1 hour, 8 hours, a full day, or even 2 days, it will become brittle after an hour sitting on the spool holder not actively printing. I won't even mention the stringing issues I've been having with these new rolls, but suffice to say it's atrocious and on par with badly dried TPU.I reached out to Sunlu for advice to see if there's some magic sauce that could make my newer rolls work as well as the first order. That was 3 months ago and despite repeated attempts to contact them I have not heard back.If my only experience was the first few rolls I would give this 5 stars. However, I cannot and do not trust the quality of Sunlu's PLA Meta to be consistent. Skip this stuff and buy 2.0+ or just find a different brand entirely to purchase from.Amazon's AI is telling me this review is positive for "Value for money" and "Functionality". In no uncertain terms: My experience has been horrible and I would not recommend you spend any money on this at all. You can pick up my rolls for free from the garbage, and it still wouldn't be worth the time you spent digging it out.

Starting off, I bought this filament because of it's affordable price tag, and almost no other reason. I was looking for ok filament for a great price, but what I got was far from that. First impressions where good, it shipped fast and came tightly sealed in a vacuum bag with an adequately sized discant packet unlike some other cheap filaments I've purchased. I first measured the diameter of the filament in about 20 different spots and found that it was within spec, also, unlike some other cheap filaments. I then began printing some test prints to test for moisture and found that it was good. Not only did the prints come out exactly how they should, they came out beautiful and bed adhesion was reliable and strong. At normal speeds this filament produces great results however at higher less reasonable speeds it still produces a "Usable print". Compared to some other filaments I've used this Sunlu PLA did very good at super high printing speeds. This is definitely high quality filament and a great value. The most pronounced benefit I can highlight about this filament vs some other cheap alternatives is that the bed adhesion is great. Many cheap filaments have terrible bed adhesion due to a variety of factors. Overall I'm pleased with this filament and could not find any major flaws in my spool.
